Robert Half is seeking a highly skilled and versatile In-House Counsel to join our client’s legal team in the Bronx, NY. This is a full-time, onsite position with the potential to transition from temporary to permanent employment. We’re seeking a candidate with a primary focus in employment law and contracts, supported by a solid background in corporate legal matters, regulatory compliance, and contract negotiation. Start Date: ASAP Hours: Standard Business Hours, Monday-Friday Duration: Temp-to-Perm Location: Onsite, 5 days per week- Bronx, NY Pay Rate: $60+/ Hour This role requires exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide sound legal advice across a range of business matters. As In House Counsel, you will play a critical role in protecting the organization from legal risks through thorough research, strategic counsel, and proactive legal support. Key Responsibilities • Provide legal counsel on employment matters and handle in-house employment issues., • Support real estate transactions and act as a generalist across legal domains., • Advise executives on a wide range of legal topics including corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and contractual matters., • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents with internal and external stakeholders., • Maintain and update legal templates and create initial drafts of form agreements., • Conduct legal research and analysis to support business operations and ensure compliance., • Identify legal risks and develop strategies for mitigation and resolution., • Assist with corporate transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships., • Collaborate with internal departments to address legal issues and ensure regulatory compliance., • Represent the company in legal proceedings, negotiations, and meetings., • Monitor legal and regulatory changes and advise on potential business impacts., • Develop and deliver legal training and policy education programs for employees., • Maintain organized legal records, documents, and databases. Software Proficiency • Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams), • Adobe Professional Qualifications • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required, • Licensed attorney with valid bar membership, • 5–7+ years of corporate legal experience, preferably in a corporate environment, • Proven expertise in employment law, with additional experience in real estate, • Strong understanding of corporate law, contract law, and regulatory compliance, • Excellent legal research, analytical, and communication skills, • Ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders, • Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities, • High attention to detail and responsiveness, • Professional integrity and discretion in handling sensitive information, • Adaptability and willingness to grow within the role, • Strong administrative and managerial capabilities
