Details • Hospital-based radiology department, CT scanning unit with 3 scanning rooms (CT 1, 2, and 3), • Patient population includes emergency, trauma, and general imaging cases requiring CT, • 4x9.5 hour PM shifts, Wednesday through Saturday, 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, • No holiday coverage required, • On-call is required for this position, • Epic EMR; charting experience preferred, • May float to a nearby sister hospitalRequirements, • ARRT RT(R) and ARRT RT(CT) certifications required, • Active NJ State X-Ray License (NJDEP) required; license required if applicable, • Current BLS certification required, • Completion of an accredited Radiographer/Radiography training program required, • HS diploma or GED required, • Proficiency with PACS/RIS systems required, • Experience with venipuncture and power injector protocols required, • Two professional references required for consideration, • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be consideredAdditional Information, • Responsibilities include patient screening for contrast allergies and medication incompatibilities, monitoring patient condition before and after contrast injections, and initiating emergency response when necessary, • Technologist must acquire, process, and transmit images to PACS/RIS immediately for urgent cases such as Code Grey, Trauma, and Partial Trauma, and notify the radiologist accordingly, • Point staff duties include triaging procedures, coordinating emergent and unscheduled cases, assigning staff for efficient workflow, and communicating patient status across departments, • Maintains QA/QC requirements per daily, monthly, and ACR specifications, and reports equipment malfunctions to the appropriate coordinator or lead, • Responsible for stocking and maintaining supplies, contrast media, biopsy/drainage materials, and performing routine cleaning of CT equipment after each use, • Travelers may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from the initial start date; a 30–60 day break is required before beginning a new assignment at this facility American Traveler Job ID #P-723063.
