ABOUT THE ROLE: STONE AND STRAND is seeking a driven and people-focused Retail Sales, Events and Community Lead to join our SoHo, NYC retail team! This role is centered on engaging our community through in-store events, activations, and partnerships, while also supporting retail leadership and exceptional customer experiences. We’re looking for a results-oriented leader with a genuine passion for jewelry, people, and creating memorable experiences. In this role, you’ll plan, execute, and own in-store events, build lasting customer relationships, and attract new clients by turning community connections into meaningful, in-person experiences. Key Responsibilities Community Engagement & Events (Primary Focus) • Own the planning, execution, and follow-up of all in-store events, activations, and partnerships to drive traffic, sales, and brand awareness., • Identify, pitch, and manage local partnerships, collaborations, and community initiatives that bring new customers into the store., • Build and maintain a vibrant in-store community through personalized outreach, event invitations, and relationship-building., • Capture authentic in-store moments, photos, videos, and customer stories for Instagram, TikTok, and other social channels., • Track event performance (attendance, traffic, sales) and provide insights to leadership for continuous improvement. Customer Experience & Sales • Deliver the highest level of personalized service, creating a warm and memorable shopping experience for every customer., • Consistently meet and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets., • Provide styling guidance to create complete STONE AND STRAND looks., • Respond promptly to customer emails, CX tickets, reviews, social media messages, and phone inquiries., • Resolve customer concerns quickly and effectively to ensure satisfaction. Store Operations & Leadership • Support the Store Manager in daily operations, merchandising, inventory management., • Ensure the store is organized, clean, and visually compelling., • Process sales, repairs, returns, exchanges, and custom orders with accuracy., • Manage post-sale service operations, including claims, order tracking, and customizations., • Compile and share weekly sales, clientelling, and operational reports with leadership. Qualifications • Proven experience planning and executing community initiatives, in-store events, or local partnerships that drive engagement and foot traffic., • 2–3 years of retail experience, preferably in fine jewelry or a premium customer-facing environment., • Strong ability to create engaging social media content and a solid understanding of current social trends (Instagram, TikTok, etc.)., • Highly organized and process-driven, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities from start to finish., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills., • Passion for jewelry, fashion, and lifestyle trends., • Customer-first mindset with strong interpersonal skills and relationship-building ability., • Must be flexible and available to work weekends. SCHEDULE: • Hours will be around 35-40 hours per week., • Sunday to Thursday schedule COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: • $24 - $31/hour, depending on experience, • Commission on sales + monthly sales bonuses, • Employee discount, • PTO & Sick time accrual, • Commuter benefits, • 401(k) matching
