Job Description DEPARTMENT: Youth & Recreation-- Burning Tree Country Club Camp JOB TITLE: Youth Activities Assistant REPORTS TO: Youth Activities Supervisor SCHEDULE: Part-time, year-round COMPENSATION: $17-$19; based on experience BENEFITS: Golf privileges, meals, and opportunities for professional development and growth within the association. Burning Tree Country Club is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Youth Activities Assistant to support our youth programming and help create fun, safe, and engaging experiences for children and families. This role plays an important part in delivering high-quality youth activities through consistent supervision, positive engagement, and collaborative teamwork. The Youth Activities Assistant serves as a role model for children—demonstrating professionalism, authenticity, and care in every interaction. Through creativity and strong communication, this position helps bring Burning Tree’s commitment to excellence, community, and continuous improvement to life. You: • Enjoy working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment, • Bring energy and enthusiasm to daily programming, • Lead with kindness, patience, and respect, • Adapt easily to changing schedules and needs, • Take pride in presenting yourself professionally The Essentials (Core Responsibilities) • Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing youth activities and events, • Supervise children during programs, ensuring safety and positive engagement, • Foster a welcoming and friendly atmosphere by engaging with children and parents., • Maintain a positive and energetic demeanor to encourage participation., • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the smooth execution of programs and events., • Adapt activities and approaches based on the needs and interests of the children., • Communicate effectively with children, staff, and parents; addressing any concerns promptly and professionally., • Demonstrate consistent professionalism and reliability, • Maintain an energetic, friendly, and approachable presence, • Adapt programming to meet the interests and needs of participants, • Communicate promptly and respectfully with families and staff, • Address concerns calmly and constructively, • Follow all safety guidelines and club policies, • Contribute positively to team culture and morale, • Seek feedback and actively improve performance, • Represent Burning Tree positively at all times, • Passion for working with children and supporting their development, • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, • Ability to work collaboratively and share ideas, • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment, • Previous experience in youth programs preferred but not required, • Reliable attendance and punctuality, • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions The Standards (Qualifications & Professional Conduct) Professional Appearance & Conduct Staff members are expected to present themselves in a manner that reflects Burning Tree’s professional standards. Attire • Club-branded polo or approved uniform shirt, • Khaki pants or shorts, • Closed-toe athletic shoes (sneakers preferred), • Maintain open, approachable, and friendly body language, • Demonstrate enthusiasm and positive energy, • Practice active listening and thoughtful communication, • Primarily outdoor and active programming environment, • Requires flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and weather, • Involves standing, walking, and participating in activities, • Fast-paced, team-oriented setting focused on youth engagement
