    Housekeeper / Family Nanny Private Home Location: Borough Park, Brooklyn, NY Position: Full-Time Schedule: 5 days per week Pay: $25–$30/hour, based on experience and qualifications Job Description We are looking for an experienced, reliable, organized, and caring Housekeeper / Family Assistant to work with a private family in Borough Park, Brooklyn. This is a combination household and childcare support position, with the primary focus on housekeeping, cleaning, laundry, and keeping the home organized. The candidate should also be comfortable helping supervise and care for the children when needed. We are looking for someone who enjoys taking care of a home, is naturally organized, pays close attention to detail, and is comfortable working around children. Main Responsibilities Housekeeping & Home Organization • Thoroughly clean and maintain the home, • Clean bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and common areas, • Dust, vacuum, mop, and maintain household surfaces, • Handle laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing clothing and linens, • Change bed linens and towels, • Maintain a consistently clean, neat, and welcoming home, • Follow the family's household routines and instructions, • Handle clothing, household items, and personal belongings with care, • Assist with other household tasks as needed Childcare Support • Help supervise the children when needed, • Assist with the children's basic needs and routines, • Keep children's areas clean and organized, • Provide responsible and attentive supervision, • Help the family with childcare when parents need additional support This is not primarily a nanny position. Housekeeping and maintaining the home will remain an important part of the role. Schedule • 5 days per week, • Friday, Saturday, and Sunday availability is especially important, • Two days off will be provided during the week or some weekends, • Candidate must have flexibility to support the family's schedule Requirements • Previous professional housekeeping or private-home experience required, • Comfortable helping care for and supervise children, • Strong cleaning and organizational skills, • Excellent attention to detail, • Reliable, punctual, responsible, and trustworthy, • Able to work independently and manage household responsibilities, • Comfortable following the family's routines and preferences, • Respectful of the family's privacy, • Conversational English, • Long-term availability preferred, • Weekend availability required Compensation $25–$30 per hour, depending on experience and overall qualifications. The family is willing to offer the higher end of the range for a candidate with an excellent combination of private-home housekeeping experience, strong organizational skills, reliability, and comfort working with children. Completes Medication Error Report when needed., • Ensures home, grounds, yard and van are maintained in clean, safe, and sanitary condition., • Ensures meals are prepared and planned based on clients’ individual diet, client input, and the planned menu for the month., • Ensures that the Recreation Calendar is carried out as per client input and as per the planned calendar completed each month., • Responsible for competing all required documentation to include but not limited to, daily logs, communication logs, and behavior reports., • Ensures line of sight for the individual(s) being supported is maintained and completes reports accordingly., • Responsible for adequately and completely cleaning the home during any shift worked., • Ensures that a client’s dignity is not compromised in any way., • Responsible for reporting all emergencies or unusual incidents to direct supervisor., • Cooperates with the licensee and Department staff in any inspection, inquiry or investigation.
