Job Description Finger Lakes Region $33–$50.50/hour ($68,640–$105,040/year) based on experience $25,000 sign-on bonus for 3-year commitment The Opportunity You'll provide respiratory care services across a full spectrum of modalities, from oxygen therapy and mechanical ventilation to pulmonary function testing and bronchoscopy assistance. Working evening shifts (72 hours per pay period) in a full-time, direct hire position, you'll deliver physician-ordered treatments under the guidance of the System Director while making a measurable impact on patient outcomes in this scenic Finger Lakes community. Your Day-to-Day You'll assess, implement, and document respiratory care needs for patients across all age groups, adjusting oxygen delivery devices and administering treatments for medication delivery, volume expansion, and bronchial hygiene. You'll initiate and manage mechanical ventilators—both invasive and non-invasive—and perform airway management and suctioning specific to patient age and condition. Your technical responsibilities include: • Performing arterial and capillary blood sampling, analyzing specimens, and following critical value protocols, • Conducting pulmonary function testing per ATS guidelines and obtaining high-quality 12 Lead EKGs, • Preparing patients and equipment for bronchoscopy, assisting physicians during procedures, and processing specimens, • Performing functional checks on patient-owned CPAP and BiPAP equipment, • Obtaining nasal specimens for Influenza A, Bordetella Pertussis, and RSV testing You'll also support the learning needs of respiratory therapy, nursing, and paramedic students, assist with new employee orientation, and participate in quality improvement activities. What We're Looking For Required: • Licensed as a Respiratory Therapist by the State of New York (or eligible for licensure), • Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the NBRC (or eligible within 12 months of obtaining NYS Technician License), • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire
