Key Responsibilities • Evaluate and assess pediatric patients' physical conditions, functional abilities, and therapeutic needs in an outpatient clinic setting, • Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans for children of all ages, from neonates to adolescents, • Administer age-appropriate therapeutic interventions including corrective exercises, gait training, soft tissue mobilization, and modalities, • Educate patients and families on proper use of adaptive equipment, including wheelchairs, crutches, canes, braces, and prosthetic devices, • Document patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with professional and departmental standards, • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, physicians, and nursing staff to coordinate comprehensive patient care, • Monitor patient progress and recommend treatment modifications based on clinical outcomes, • Provide supervision and guidance to support staff and therapy assistants, • Maintain department equipment, supplies, and ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control procedures, • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, departmental meetings, and professional development activities, • Transport patients to and from the physical therapy department as needed, • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program, • Current New York State Physical Therapy license or eligibility to obtain licensure at time of hire, • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire, • Strong knowledge of pediatric physical therapy principles, practices, and developmental milestones, • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work effectively with children and families, • Ability to lift 30 pounds independently and 150 pounds with assistance, • Commitment to maintaining universal precautions and infection control standards, • Previous experience working as a physical therapist in a hospital or outpatient pediatric setting, • Pediatric specialty certification or training, • Generous Sign-On Bonus: Receive a $15,000 sign-on bonus to welcome you to our team, • Competitive Compensation: Annual salary range of $70,000 - $100,000 based on experience and qualifications, • Comprehensive Benefits Package: Excellent health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and more, • Specialized Practice: Focus exclusively on pediatric patients in a dedicated outpatient clinic environment, • Day Shift Schedule: Full-time position with consistent daytime hours for better work-life balance, • Professional Growth: Support for continuing education, professional development, and career advancement, • Collaborative Team: Work alongside an excellent, experienced pediatric physical therapy team, • Direct Hire Position: Permanent employment with long-term career stability Discover the charm of Elmira, a welcoming small town nestled in western New York along the Pennsylvania border, just south of the breathtaking Finger Lakes region.
