Job Description JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for providing excellent customer service to prospective commercial clients and policyholders. Quote and bind new business and policy renewals. Provide service to potential and existing clients by providing quotes, processing endorsements, answering billing questions, working renewals and performing other service work. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Solid working knowledge of systems – comparative rater, underwriting and agency management systems., • Maintains current knowledge of commercial insurance coverages and insurance markets., • Provide education and answers to prospective clients and existing policyholders regarding commercial insurance coverages., • Create and provide quotes (or submit for quote) commercial new business. Process endorsements and renewals; provide back-up phone coverage for personal lines insurance as needed., • Follow company procedures to process work in a highly automated environment – pull documents from agency management system and process work following company procedures., • Send out “client update” sheet with every renewal. Review update sheet for changes and update quotes accordingly., • Review renewals upon receipt (usually 60 days) in advance of expiration; for standard and preferred clients that are direct-billed follow-up with client; on agency bill renewals send a bill to the client., • Answer phones in a courteous and professional manner – provide quotes, process endorsements, provide billing answers, order id cards and certificates of insurance, as well as handle other questions and tasks as necessary., • Check accuracy and completeness of premium transactions issued by insurance companies before invoicing and distribution. Set-up premium financing as needed., • Update agency management system with new and renewal information; make diary notes in system., • Review current customer insurance accounts to identify additional insurance needs and cross-sell additional products., • Retain business by calling out on all renewals and cancels to keep business in-force with agency/company., • Achieve or surpass department productivity and quality standards/goals., • High school degree or GED., • Current P&C agent license., • Minimum of 3-5 years’ commercial lines experience with personal lines experience a plus., • Strong customer service and listening skills., • Able to multi-task and switch gears as needed to adapt to changes, delays or unplanned events., • Able to work long hours when necessary to meet goals., • Demonstrated ability to accept responsibility for own actions and follow through on commitments., • Enjoy working a team environment and achieving daily goals., • Prior independent insurance agency experience preferred.Company DescriptionThe Woodlands Financial Group (TWFG) is a national, public organization headquartered in The Woodlands, Texas with over 300 retail offices in 16 states, and 2200 wholesale independent agents in 38 states.The Woodlands Financial Group (TWFG) is a national, public organization headquartered in The Woodlands, Texas with over 300 retail offices in 16 states, and 2200 wholesale independent agents in 38 states.
