What You'll Do: CoreWeave is seeking a Security Engineer to spearhead the design, development, and upkeep of our rapidly expanding Physical Security network and its underlying infrastructure. This position is perfectly suited for an individual with extensive knowledge in access control and camera security systems, as well as their supporting infrastructure. If you have strong networking skills, a solid understanding of Genetec Security Center or enterprise physical security systems, Azure or GCP, and experience integrating third-party systems, we want to hear from you. Strong organizational skills, technical writing abilities, and system administration expertise are essential. We are also looking for a collaborative team player who approaches security with a customer-first mindset. This position requires up to 10% travel, including international travel for on-site security projects and training. Additionally, there will be times when the candidate must be available outside of regular business hours to support critical issues or meetings. You will report to the Manager for Data Center Security Engineering and work from our Security Fusion Center in Livingston, NJ. About the Role: • Oversee CoreWeave's comprehensive physical security system engineering infrastructure, including video surveillance, access control, visitor management, intrusion detection, and intercom infrastructure in support of our Global Security Operations Center., • Monitor system health and perform checks to ensure the integrity of hardware, server resources, and peripheral security systems., • Serve as a main point of contact for new system uplift and ensure existing system resiliency (24/7/365), including on-call responsibilities., • Manage lifecycle of currently deployed hardware components and associated licensing., • Configure and harden CoreWeave's hardware and software infrastructure for security operations aligned with published standards and/or best practices., • Manage third-party integrations with the Physical Security infrastructure systems., • Serve as an escalation point for internal users, providing support and training for access, credential, or security hardware and software issues, • Maintain precise documentation for troubleshooting, operations, and standard procedures; Uphold high-quality standards and meet strict deadlines., • Develop, own, and meticulously maintain a comprehensive library of system documentation, including architectural diagrams, standard operating procedures, disaster recovery/business continuity plans, and troubleshooting playbooks., • Adhere to and refine change management processes, ensuring all modifications to systems are documented, tested, and approved., • Maintain an inventory of all physical security hardware, software licenses, and service contracts, actively tracking renewal dates and contributing to annual budget forecasting for maintenance and upgrades., • Lead the technical root cause analysis for any system outages or significant performance degradation, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence., • Stay current with industry best practices through workshops, networking and tradeshows, • Work independently, demonstrating attention to detail and follow-throughWho You Are:, • Strong expertise in the Genetec Security Center suite, including the Directory, Archiver, and Synergis roles, failover configurations, and API/SDK integrations., • Strong knowledge of networking essentials, TCP/IP protocols, routing, and troubleshooting, • Understanding of SQL databases, including integrity management and troubleshooting, • Deploying and Maintaining Windows Server environments, • Experience integrating systems and deploying field solutions with vendors, • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or similar, • Strong written and verbal communication, • Skilled at explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences, • Certifications: GSEC, Security+, Network+, CCNA, CISSP or similar certifications, • Manufacturer Certifications: Genetec, Axis, Bosch, or similar, • Experience engineering for a Physical Security Operations Center (SOC), • Experience managing physical security or IT-related projects, • Be Curious at Your Core, • Act Like an Owner, • Empower Employees, • Deliver Best-in-Class Client Experiences The base salary range for this role is $165,000 to $242,000. The starting salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. We strive for both market alignment and internal equity when determining compensation. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package includes a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program (all based on eligibility).
