Job Description Program: Sterling Community Center Location: White Plains, NY (Onsite & Mobile) Hours Per Week: 21 FLSA Status: Part Time, Non-Exempt Salary Range: $19 - $24/per hr Summary Description: The Recovery Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting individuals on their journey to recovery from mental health challenges. This position involves providing personalized assistance, advocacy, and guidance to empower clients to achieve their goals and enhance their overall well-being. Responsibilities: • Engage with individuals receiving mental health services to build rapport and establish a trusting relationship., • Collaborate with clients to develop and implement personalized recovery plans., • Provide emotional support, encouragement, and crisis intervention as needed., • Facilitate individual and group sessions focused on skill-building, coping strategies, and goal setting., • Advocate for clients' needs and rights within the organization and in the community., • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and holistic care., • Assist clients in accessing and navigating community resources and support services., • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of client interactions, progress, and setbacks., • Monitor and assess client progress in achieving recovery goals and adjust plans accordingly., • Participate in regular training and professional development opportunities. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): • Successful implementation and progress in individualized recovery plans., • Attendance and engagement in group sessions and activities., • Timely and accurate documentation of client interactions., • Collaboration and communication with multidisciplinary teams., • Reduction in crisis situations and improvement in coping skills., • Professional growth and development through ongoing training. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field., • Minimum of 2 years of experience in mental health or related roles., • Knowledge of recovery-oriented principles and trauma-informed care., • Certification as a Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) is a plus., • Familiarity with community resources and support services., • Ability to work flexible hours based on client needs., • Commitment to ongoing professional development. Special Considerations: • Hours per week, reporting structure, and location are subject to change per program needs. Mandated Reporter: This is a Mandated Reporter position.
