Job DescriptionJob Title: Project Manager – Facilities and InfrastructureJob Description This role leads the full lifecycle of facilities and infrastructure projects, from initial planning and budgeting through execution, commissioning, and closeout. The Project Manager oversees construction, renovation, and building system upgrades, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in alignment with operational needs. The position requires close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders, effective vendor and contractor management, and a strong focus on optimizing facility performance and compliance. Responsibilities • Manage the full lifecycle of facilities projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, execution, and closeout., • Develop detailed project scopes, schedules, resource plans, and cost estimates that align with business objectives., • Coordinate construction, renovation, expansion, and infrastructure improvement projects across multiple facilities., • Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and proactively address delays, scope changes, and other challenges., • Maintain accurate and complete project documentation throughout the entire project lifecycle., • Oversee facility upgrades involving HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, security, roofing, utilities, and building automation systems., • Coordinate equipment installations, machinery relocations, and facility modifications to support operational and production needs., • Manage building improvement projects to enhance facility efficiency, reliability, and overall performance., • Ensure all projects comply with applicable building codes, environmental regulations, and safety standards., • Select, manage, and evaluate contractors, consultants, suppliers, and service providers to support project delivery., • Review bids and proposals, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor performance against agreed scope, schedule, and quality metrics., • Conduct contractor safety briefings and ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements., • Monitor contractor schedules, deliverables, and workmanship to ensure project quality and compliance., • Develop and manage project budgets and capital expenditure plans for facilities and infrastructure projects., • Track project costs, approve invoices, and provide accurate and timely financial reporting., • Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards and achieving project objectives., • Forecast project expenditures, manage change orders, and ensure financial accountability throughout the project., • Collaborate closely with operations, engineering, maintenance, EHS, procurement, and leadership teams to align project activities with business needs., • Provide regular project updates, status reports, and presentations to stakeholders and executive leadership., • Facilitate project meetings, communicate project risks and milestones, and ensure clear and timely communication across all parties., • Support equipment decommissioning and related activities at designated facilities, ensuring safe and orderly project execution.Essential Skills, • 5+ years of project management experience in facilities, construction, industrial, manufacturing, healthcare, commercial, or corporate environments., • Proven experience managing capital projects and facility infrastructure improvement initiatives., • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Facilities Management, Architecture, or a related field., • Strong knowledge of construction practices, building systems, and facility operations., • Solid understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, and contract management., • Proficiency with Microsoft Project for project planning and scheduling., • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and related project management tools and software., • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time and within budget., • Strong skills in facilities project management, including scope management and budget control., • Experience with equipment decommissioning and related facilities activities.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, or pilot plant environments., • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, maintenance, EHS, procurement, and leadership., • Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear project updates and facilitate effective meetings., • Ability to evaluate vendor and contractor performance and maintain strong working relationships., • Attention to detail and a focus on safety, compliance, and quality in all project activities., • Comfort working across multiple sites and adapting to changing project priorities.Work Environment The role is based at a large corporate site with approximately 400 employees, where most staff follow a hybrid work schedule of 2–3 days per week onsite with remote options typically available on Mondays and Fridays. The Project Manager will split time between the main office environment and a nearby pilot plant, supporting decommissioning and facilities activities. The work involves regular interaction with office-based teams, plant operations, and external contractors, and requires comfort moving between office and industrial settings while adhering to site safety practices and any applicable facility protocols. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of East Hanover, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
