Senior Director, Learning & Clinical Development Overview Our client is seeking an accomplished leader in clinical education and workforce development to guide large-scale learning initiatives across a multi-state healthcare network. This role is ideal for someone who excels at aligning education strategies with organisational goals, leading complex programmes, and building consistent, high-quality training frameworks across diverse teams and locations. Working within a highly collaborative and matrixed environment, you will play a key role in shaping how clinical staff are onboarded, trained, and supported—ensuring readiness, competency, and continuous improvement across the organisation. Position Summary As a senior leader in learning operations, you will partner with executives, clinical leadership, and operational teams to design and implement cohesive education strategies. This includes standardising onboarding processes, enhancing clinical training programmes, and ensuring alignment with regulatory and quality expectations. You will also oversee education leadership teams across multiple service areas and provide direction for simulation-based training and other advanced learning methods. Key Responsibilities • Act as a strategic advisor to leadership teams on education planning, workforce readiness, and training effectiveness, • Evaluate the impact and value of training initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities, • Lead the design and rollout of consistent onboarding and orientation frameworks across multiple regions, • Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to align education programmes with performance goals and service needs, • Guide the adoption of modern learning practices, including simulation and innovative instructional approaches, • Oversee and mentor regional education leaders and programme managers, • Drive cross-functional initiatives, ensuring effective planning, execution, and communication of progress, • Establish and monitor key performance indicators to assess the success of education programmes, • Ensure all training initiatives meet regulatory standards and support quality and safety outcomes, • Support the integration of new technologies and tools to enhance learning delivery, • Promote interdisciplinary learning and ensure consistency in training standards across teams Candidate Profile Education & Credentials • Degree in Nursing (Bachelor's required), • Advanced degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business, or a related discipline, • Doctoral qualification is advantageous, • Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure across relevant states Professional Experience • Extensive experience in healthcare leadership or administration (10+ years), • Strong background in education, training, or workforce development, • Experience managing complex projects and leading cross-functional initiatives, • Proven ability to lead large-scale education programmes across multiple locations, • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, • Knowledge of healthcare systems, operations, and data-driven performance management, • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment, • Influence how clinical education is delivered across a broad, multi-region network, • Help raise standards in patient care by strengthening workforce capability, • Lead innovation in training methods, including simulation and digital learning, • Develop and support a network of education leaders, • Contribute to building a highly skilled, prepared, and resilient workforce Working Arrangement This position follows a hybrid model, combining on-site collaboration with remote work. Candidates should be based within commuting distance of their assigned location and able to spend part of the week working in person. Compensation Salary ranges vary by location and experience, with approximate ranges between: • $61.00 – $128.00 per hour equivalent Additional compensation elements may include incentives, bonuses, or other pay enhancements depending on the role and location.
