Job Description Salary: $150,000 annually Employment Type: Full-time, On-site Lead the Future of Nursing Education in California's Central Valley Are you a visionary nursing leader with a passion for academic excellence and community impact? Were seeking a dynamic Dean of Workforce Development to oversee the operations, compliance, and instructional quality of our nursing education programs in Visalia, CA. Reporting to the Regional Dean, this role plays a pivotal part in shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals while managing faculty, student success initiatives, and clinical partnerships. Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Oversight & Leadership * Supervise daily operations of the Workforce Development (WFD) nursing program site. * Implement academic policies, procedures, and program improvements. * Collaborate with the Regional Dean on strategic initiatives and special projects. * Ensure compliance with state boards, accreditors, and regulatory standards. * Oversee curriculum delivery, clinical rotations, and academic calendars. Faculty & Staff Management * Hire, mentor, and evaluate nursing faculty and support staff. * Ensure completion of clinical assignments, evaluations, and rotation matrices. * Provide training and guidance in blended learning, simulation labs, and instructional innovation. * Coordinate faculty development and compliance with Board of Nursing standards. Clinical Partnership Management * Assess and approve clinical sites in collaboration with faculty and agency contacts. * Maintain clinical facility contracts, schedules, and evaluation feedback. * Serve as a liaison for clinical partner HR on student/employee discipline issues. * Participate in clinical consortiums and inter-agency meetings. Student Success & Engagement * Lead student advising, risk intervention meetings, and orientation programs. * Ensure students meet requirements for graduation and licensure (NCLEX). * Foster inclusive academic support systems and serve as a student advocate. * Oversee recordkeeping, attendance, performance data, and progression tracking. QualificationsRequired: * Valid RN license in California or eligibility to transfer (license costs covered if relocating). * Masters degree or higher in nursing, education, or administration. * Minimum 1 year teaching experience in accredited nursing programs. * At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience providing direct patient care. * Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. * Proficiency with LMS platforms, MS Teams, Zoom, and other digital tools. Preferred: * Experience with curriculum development, accreditation, and state board compliance. * Background in faculty supervision, budgeting, and strategic planning. * Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in education.
