Job DescriptionDescription: GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION: The Licensed Therapist I at Tatum Psychology Employment Group plays a vital role in delivering high-quality clinical services; providing direct therapeutic care through individual, group, couples, and family therapy sessions, tailored to the unique needs of each client. In addition to therapy, the Licensed Therapist I also offers case management services when necessary, ensuring clients have access to comprehensive care and support systems. The Licensed Therapist I conducts thorough initial assessments, biopsychosocial evaluations to gain a comprehensive understanding of a client’s mental, emotional, physical, and social functioning. Based on these assessments, the Licensed Therapist will develop personalized treatment plans that establish goals, interventions, and measurable outcomes. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Clinical • Conducts individual, group, couples, and family therapy, providing direct therapeutic care under limited supervision., • Hold a full-time caseload, as specified by the clinical supervisor, and may take on projects involving increased clinical hours when needed., • Provides crisis intervention services as appropriate, ensuring patient safety and continuity of care., • Monitors and oversees patient progress in treatment, making clinical adjustments to ensure the level of care remains aligned with medical necessity., • Offer appropriate clinical consultation and actively participate in clinical consultation and supervision assessments. 2. Assessment, Planning, and Documentation • Completes initial assessments, biopsychosocial evaluations, treatment plans, therapy notes, and discharge plans within required timeframes., • Ensures accurate, timely documentation to support medical necessity and meet all insurance and regulatory compliance standards., • Oversees utilization review processes and adheres to clinical programming requirements related to medical necessity., • Identifies opportunities for documentation and workflow improvement to support better clinical outcomes. 3. Collaboration & Coordination • Coordinates care with internal and external stakeholders, including families and multi-disciplinary team members, to promote continuity and integration of services., • Participates in interdisciplinary staff meetings and treatment planning discussions with other professional team members., • Collaborates with the intake coordinator and other departments to ensure smooth client onboarding and appropriate treatment placement., • Supports management and contributes to broader team initiatives to improve clinical processes and service delivery. 4. Compliance and Quality Improvement • Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and regulatory standards, as well as with community and agency-specific standards of care., • Participate in internal quality improvement activities, helping to track outcomes and implement best practices., • Follows and actively contributes to the improvement of clinical objectives, procedures, and policies to enhance service quality and operational efficiency. ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS: • Performs other duties as may be assigned., • Follows and supports TPEG policies and procedures., • Works collaboratively and cooperatively with internal and external partners., • Represents TPEG, Inc., by embodying the mission, vision and values of the organization., • Travels occasionally during the workday and on occasional overnight stay. (Compensation for mileage, food and lodging provided.), • Maintains regular attendance at work and company activities and demonstrates punctuality regarding deadlines., • Displays creativity and vision in recommending new tactics and strategies., • EDUCATION: Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field., • LICENSURE: Applicant must have a current state license as a mental health therapist (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC) in accordance with the Board of Behavioral Services (BBS)., • RELATED EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two (2) years of experience in mental health / substance abuse treatment field preferred., • SKILLS: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team., • OTHER EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED:, • Experience working with culturally diverse individuals and communities or have otherwise demonstrated a commitment to strengthening the engagement of a diverse community and skill in communicating with diverse populations., • Familiarity with equity and/or diversity initiatives within an organization., • Written and oral communication skills sufficient to perform essential functions., • Demonstrated ability to make decisions independently and use initiative to accomplish complex assignments with general instruction and guidance., • Demonstrated ability to exercise judgment and integrity on the job with confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy., • Demonstrated ability to organize time and other resources to perform multiple tasks., • Demonstrated ability to complete work accurately and in a timely manner with attention to detail., • Demonstrated ability to work well with others and to provide effective team leadership., • Proficiency in word processing and database and/or spreadsheet applications., • Physical and mental attributes are sufficient to perform essential functions., • Demonstrated ability to recognize merit, excellence and intelligence in staff and potential employees., • Proficient in English Language, • Work settings vary from offices, program sites, and stakeholder locations, • Travel modes can include the use of company or personal transportation
