THE ROLE: This is more than just running a lathe. As a CNC Lathe Machinist, you’ll work with state-of-the-art DMG MORI mill-turn and turning centers. Maintenance & Safety (10%) -Perform routine lathe maintenance and keep the work area clean and organized. -Follow all safety procedures, including the use of material handling equipment like cranes and carts. -Maintain and operate machines with care, using proper PPE and lockout/tagout protocols as needed. Documentation & Reporting (5%) -Maintain accurate records on quantities produced and quality performance. -Follow detailed work orders and report deviations or issues as they arise. Additional Duties (5%) -Participate in training and cross-functional support as assigned by supervisors. -Continuously improve your own processes, tools, and workflows. COMPENSATION: -CNC Lathe - $28 - $38 per hour - commensurate with experience and specialty. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: -This role requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs. WHY YOU’LL LOVE WORKING HERE: -A welcoming, no-drama culture grounded in integrity, respect, and craftsmanship. -The chance to build something real - machines that actually do the work. -A seat at the table in a growing company that sees the value in your ideas. -Leadership that believes in your potential, not just your past. This is more than just a design job, it’s a chance to shape the future of manufacturing with a team that’s as humble as they are skilled. If you’re the kind of engineer who takes pride in getting it right—and doing it the right way—we’d love to meet you! Requirements: WHAT YOU BRING: -High school diploma or equivalent. -Associate degree in Manufacturing or Technical Programming, completion of apprenticeship, or equivalent training. -Minimum 5 years of CNC lathe and mill-turn experience, including advanced programming and setup. -Strong Mastercam/CAD skills for turning and multi-axis lathe programming. -Proficiency in reading blueprints, GD&T, and tooling sheets. -In-depth knowledge of cutting tools, turning inserts, speeds/feeds, and inspection tools. -Solid math skills (algebra, geometry, trigonometry a plus). BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE: -Experience with hard turning, high-temp alloys, and multi-axis mill-turns. -Familiarity with Renishaw or similar probing systems.
