Overview: The Technician-LIRR (Long Island Railroad Account) is responsible for providing dedicated waste removal service exclusively at the Long Island Railroad according to contract specifications. Responsibilities: • • Basic service truck driving functions in accordance with USS, DOT, and LIRR requirements • Operate service cart in accordance with LIRR requirements, • Operate motorized pumps to extract waste from holding tanks on train cars, • Thoroughly clean holding tanks, • Offload waste at an off-site transfer station, • Conduct all work duties in a safe manner in accordance with USS and DOT safety standards to ensure no accidents or injuries, • Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: * • Complete annual LIRR Roadway Protections Safety Training, • Meet client specific background requirements to obtain security clearance, • Customer Service, • Teamwork, • Time Management, • Communications • Sit while driving and stand while servicing products, • Use hands and fingers to handle, control or feel objects tools or controls, • Repeat the same movements, • See details of objects that are less than a few feet away and also at greater distance, • Speak clearly so customers can understand, • Understand the speech of another person, • Hear sounds and recognize the difference between them, • Walk up to 30 minutes at a time without exertion, • Enter and exit equipment by stepping and kneeling, • Lift up to 40lbs from your waist to your shoulders, • Lift 30lbs from the floor to your head, • Crouch and squat, • Holiday & Paid Time Off (pro-rated for Part-Time employees), • Medical/Pharmacy, • Dental, • Vision, • Employer-Paid Short-Term Disability, • Employer-Paid Employee Basic Life & Accidental Death and Dismemberment, • Voluntary Employee Life & Accidental Death and Dismemberment, • Voluntary Spousal Life, • Voluntary Dependent Life, • Hospital Indemnity, Accident and Critical Illness, • Commuter/Transit Account, • Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, • Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account, • Health Savings Account, • 401(k) with employer match, • Employer-Paid Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
