Job Description At Jefferson Center, it is our policy and our mission to be inclusive and mindful of the diversity of everyone who comes through our doors. The Family Services Outpatient Clinician will provide individual, family, and group therapy to at-risk children ages 8-22. Utilization of an episode of care model is essential. Hours would include either a 4/10s schedule (working from 8:00 AM-6:00PM 4 days/week) or a 5/8s schedule (working from 10:00 AM-6:00 PM 5 days/week), using a hybrid (online and in-person) model. Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required: • Master’s Degree in social work, counseling, psychology or related field, with two or more years related experience and/or training., • Licensure preferred but not required., • CAS/CAT/LAC also preferred., • Experience in working with children and youth with mental health issues and their families., • Skills in family therapy interventions, crisis interventions, culturally sensitive interventions, cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, and other applicable treatment modalities., • Must have an understanding of the effects of trauma on the individuals who access services at the Center., • Expertise in child development, attachment issues, trauma treatment, abuse/neglect, foster and adoptive issues within families., • Knowledge of stages of change, motivational interviewing, culturally appropriate episodes of care., • Bilingual preferred., • Computer and technological knowledge required. Essential Duties: • Provide individual therapy as the primary modality as well as family and group therapies., • Engage client and family in the treatment process and goal-setting. Identify risk factors including lethality, and effectively safety plan with client and family involvement., • Work constructively with client and family to reach agreed upon outcomes, and coordinate care with internal and external providers., • Provide case management services including consulting with psychiatrists on clinical issues, and consulting with all parties essential to client welfare including but not limited to: school district, child welfare system, juvenile justice system, primary care physicians, and other community resources., • Utilize a trauma-informed lens. Understand how trauma impacts the lives of the people being served, resulting in interactions consistent with the recovery process and reducing the possibility of re-traumatization., • Demonstrate ability to work with families with diverse backgrounds, including awareness of cultural differences, own cultural humility, and how these impact the therapeutic work., • Maintain appropriate professional standards and provide appropriate follow-ups for clients and families., • Work to increase and maintain client self-sufficiency by improving client’s adaptive level of functioning and use of community supports and natural supports., • Exhibit effective assessment and diagnostic skills., • Use WellRx, PHQ-9, and Audit-C with clients as required and document., • Provide therapy services to a caseload size of approximately 50-70 clients (for full time position)., • Work 4 evenings per week, and two full days in-office (for full-time position). Work includes 10AM-6PM M-F, or 8AM-6PM, with one weekday off., • Effectively respond to client and family needs or concerns., • Initiate and maintain positive interactions, including timely response to phone calls, emails, and other requests from clients and families., • Effectively use collaborative documentation with clients and families., • Refer and connect clients to needed resources (i.e. other Jefferson Center programs, housing, medication, transportation, education, higher levels of care, etc.), • Attend mandatory team meetings, trainings, and consult groups., • Attend optional trainings of interest, Center town halls, and other events., • Attend supervision at times and intervals agreed upon with supervisor and participate in supervision by coming prepared with an agenda. Report high risk/problem cases, along with what is going well and engage in reflections on successes., • Utilize peer and team supports, within FSOP and across other teams., • Stay abreast of current trends and changes in the field., • Review challenging cases with peers and supervisors in monthly consult meetings., • Submit 90% of all Progress Notes within 3 working days (72 hours)., • Maintain 90% of updated annual CCARs throughout the year., • Complete 90% of case closings within 60 days after last contact., • Complete 90% of all treatment plans within 6 months of the last update., • Complete 90% of monthly Relias (online) trainings on time., • Ensure that fee collections are timely if clients have co-pays or pay out of pocket., • Meet required number of client-facing hours as determined by the Center (currently 50% of a clinician’s time is required to be client-facing)., • Effectively document medical necessity, treatment progress, safety risks, and other required information (informed by Center and peer audits)., • Comply with all corporate compliance and HIPAA standards., • Complete data tracking required by grant funding sources, including required assessments such as the NOMS and required monthly reports to Department of Health and Human Services for open Dependency and Neglect cases., • Effectively use technology to maintain an efficient working environment. Utilize Microsoft Teams Channels, Apps, and Chats, sharepoint, and cloud-based shared documents with other employees to increase efficiency of work., • Follow HIPPA-compliant methods for Zoom, and other online use for client sessions., • Maintain appropriate professional and ethical standards and provide appropriate follow-up for client needs., • Maintain effective interpersonal relations with clients, families, peers, subordinates, upper management, visitors and the general public., • Work cooperatively with other community agencies, as appropriate, and in agreement with supervisor., • Exhibit enthusiasm, courtesy, adaptability, flexibility, and spirit of cooperation in the work environment., • Engage in extra duties associated with current Center initiatives., • Utilize and/or supervise interns., • Explore leadership roles within the team and Center., • Organize events, activities, or social gatherings within the Center or externally in the Community, • Participate in CAT group supervision per BHA regulations. CAT II, 2 hours each month, CAT III or LAC one hour each month., • Provide CAT-in-training group or individual supervision to staff obtaining their certification (CAT III or LAC only) as needed., • Complete required paperwork for substance use treatment licenses and billing to Medicaid and other funding sources, including Substance Abuse ROI, Substance Use Assessment, Infectious Disease Acknowledgment Statement, Out-of-State Offender Questionnaire, ASAM Level of Care and Placement Criteria, CAGE, CRAFFT, BAM, URICA and DACODs. Salary Grade 51 (Unlicensed Master's Level): $57,000 - $64,000 annually* Salary Grade 52 (LCSW, LPC, LMFT): $70,000 - $77,200 annually* Additional Salary Information*: • The salary range above is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week.
