Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant – Movement & Recovery Focus Lockport, NY What if physical therapy could focus less on productivity metrics and more on helping individuals rediscover their strength, confidence, and ability to move again? Next Step PT Services of WNY PLLC is a one-on-one physical therapy practice in Lockport dedicated to guiding people who may have spent months—or even years—inactive, in pain, or even homebound back toward independence and movement. Our practice blends personalized care, strong interpersonal connection, and emerging rehabilitation technologies to support recovery and long-term movement health. Many of the individuals we serve have experienced periods of inactivity due to pain, neurological conditions, injury, or loss of confidence in their bodies. Our goal is to help them rebuild strength, restore movement, and regain trust in their ability to live actively again. Next Step PT integrates innovative tools such as NEUBIE, Stimpod, and Rapid Tech Fall Risk and Balance assessments, while also developing a RunDNA gait and movement analysis program to support both recovery and athletic performance. You will work alongside a physical therapist with more than 40 years of experience helping individuals across the lifespan—from young children to older adults—through personalized one-on-one care. The practice has been shaped by years of working with diverse personalities, home-based care environments, and individuals facing complex functional challenges. This opportunity may be a great fit for a PT or PTA who is: • curious about human movement and recovery, • interested in biomechanics and gait analysis, • motivated to work with athletes or active populations, • energized by helping individuals rebuild confidence in their bodies, • interested in practicing in a thoughtful one-on-one environment Responsibilities may include assisting with rehabilitation programs, supporting movement training, and helping develop a growing RunDNA movement and performance program. Part-time or flexible hours initially, with opportunity to grow as the program develops. Compensation is competitive and based on experience and role, typically ranging from: PTA: $30–$40 per hour PT: $40–$55 per hour New graduates are welcome to apply. Mentorship and continuing education are part of the practice philosophy. If this approach to physical therapy resonates with you, feel free to reach out directly for a conversation.
