Job Description As a Clinical Reviewer you will complete the full spectrum of activities related to State Independent Review Organization (IRO) case determinations. You will conduct clinical level review, determine physician level assignment, manage case staging between external physician experts and manage appeal processes within strict deadlines. Duties include but are not limited to: • Conducting reviews up to and including the appeal level. This includes chart screening, writing case summaries, determining documentation adequacy, researching insurer requirements, complete decision templates and preparing final determinations., • Act as a resource for the administrative and clinical staff in training, problem solving, and clarifying determinations., • Training and mentoring new RNs as the project expands., • Understanding multi-state requirements. QUALIFICATIONS: • Knowledge and experience with electronic medical records., • Ability to oversee, problem solve and work collaboratively with peers, medical, analytical, and administrative support staff., • Excellent written and verbal skills., • Ability to work independently with little supervision., • Ability and desire to be flexible, innovative, and creative., • New York Licensed Registered Nurse, required., • A bachelor’s degree in nursing OR graduate of an approved Registered Professional Nurses training program, required. Job Description Hours: Monday- Friday, approx. 8am to 5pm with 1-hour unpaid lunch. Additional overtime hours may be required as business needs dictate, particularly during the summer months. Vacation requests are extremely limited during the summer months due to the nature of our business. On call Hours: May be required, on a scheduled basis. Approximately 1 week on call every 6 weeks. This person receives shipments, keeps track of inventory, loads/unloads trucks and assists with general warehouse/facility maintenance and upkeep tasks. The Warehouse Assistant acts as a back-up Delivery Driver and a back-up for daily facilities maintenance and upkeep. Availability for some scheduled, on-call/off-hours work is a requirement of this position. Additional overtime hours may be required as business requires particularly during the summer months. Flexibility and reliability are a requirement for this position. Position Requirements: • OSHA 30 Construction Training REQUIRED within 30 days of hire., • 1-2 years’ experience in HVAC/Plumbing warehouse/supply shop a plus, not mandatory., • Ability to quickly adjust priorities in a dynamic field service and support environment., • Forklift certification a plus, but not mandatory., • Availability for on-call/off-hours duties., • Thorough understanding on the geographic outline of the NYC metro area.
