Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Labor and Delivery, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 09/22/2025, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Overview: We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team in a dynamic, fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for patient care and a strong background in obstetrics, particularly in labor and delivery settings. You will have the opportunity to work closely with patients through various stages of labor while providing support and education to families. Key Responsibilities: • Manage and provide care for patients in labor, including antepartum care and postpartum recovery., • Monitor and document fetal heart rate and uterine activity using External Fetal Monitoring (EFM)., • Administer medication such as antihypertensives, magnesium sulfate therapy, and Pitocin, as necessary., • Assist with sterile speculum exams, Non-Stress Tests (NSTs), and Oxytocin Challenge Tests (OCTs)., • Circulate for C-sections as required and scrub for C-sections when preferred., • Provide post-anesthesia care in stage 1 recovery as needed., • Float to Mother/Baby unit when necessary, maintaining patient ratios based on acuity., • Valid RN license in NJ or compact state upon submission., • 1.5 years of Labor and Delivery experience required; first-time travelers not accepted., • Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and FHM Intermediate Level., • Strong skills in IV administration, recognition and treatment of fetal heart rate abnormalities, and neonatal care in the delivery room., • Must be willing to work every other weekend and on Labor Day and one winter holiday., • Travel nurses will be held to schedule adherence, with no block scheduling available., • Candidates may need to float within their skillset; patient ratios will vary based on census., • Health & Retirement Benefits: Day-1 access to extensive benefits including Medical, Vision, Dental, Life, and more…, • Complimentary Onboarding: We pay your way through onboarding including Physicals, TITERS, and everything else.
