Position Overview We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Neurologist to join our healthcare team on a part-time basis. The Neurologist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating neurological conditions, managing complex cases, and providing educational support to patients to improve their health outcomes. This is a part-time position based at our community health centers in the Hudson Valley, New York City, and Long Island, offering an opportunity to serve an underserved population while working in a collaborative environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Conduct comprehensive neurological evaluations and physical assessments to diagnose neurological conditions, including stroke, epilepsy, dementia, and other neurodegenerative disorders., • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as MRIs, CT scans, EEGs, and other neurological assessments to formulate treatment plans., • Prescribe and manage treatment plans, including medications, lifestyle recommendations, and therapeutic interventions., • Provide patient education on neurological disorders, including prevention, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications., • Work closely with primary care teams, behavioral health professionals, and other specialists to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care., • Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) while adhering to legal and regulatory requirements., • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure optimal patient care and safety., • Maintain required certifications and licenses, including ABPN Neurology Certification, CPR/BLS-HCP, and active DEA registration., • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) with a focus on Neurology., • 8+ years of experience in neurology with a proven track record of providing patient-centered care., • Active and unrestricted license to practice as a Neurologist in the State of New York., • Board certification in Neurology by the ABPN., • Current CPR/BLS-HCP certification., • Proficient in diagnosing and managing a variety of neurological conditions., • Expertise in interpreting diagnostic imaging and tests related to neurology., • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities., • Ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and collaborate with patients and multidisciplinary teams., • Ability to manage complex, high-volume caseloads in a fast-paced environment., • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are preferred but not required.
