The OpportunityWe are hiring a Division Operations Manager — and the most important thing to know about this role is that it is, at its core, a customer service position with serious operational depth.You will be the single point of contact for our regional sales managers and external customers: the person who knows where every order stands, can navigate SAP to find answers in real time, and has the judgment and authority to determine what moves now and what waits. You will coordinate across shipping, invoicing, and inventory to keep the division running smoothly, hold people accountable to timelines with professionalism and firmness, and step in as backup wherever you’re needed.The “operations” in this title is about knowing how to get answers — from SAP, from manufacturing, from logistics, from accounting — and using that knowledge to serve your customers better than anyone else can. If you’ve spent your career being the person everyone calls because you actually know how to find out what’s going on and communicate it clearly, this role was built for you.This is a manufacturing company. Our office is adjacent to an active warehouse and machine shop, and you’ll move between those environments regularly. We are looking for someone who is as comfortable on a warehouse floor as they are on a customer call. What You’ll DoBe the Go-To for Every Customer and Sales Manager • Be the first and most reliable call for every regional sales manager and external customer with an order question — and make sure they always get a real answer, quickly, • Navigate SAP Business One to pull order status, lead times, inventory availability, and shipping timelines in real time, • When the answer isn’t in the system, go get it — walk the warehouse, call manufacturing, logistics, or accounting, and close the loop before the customer has to follow up, • Triage competing requests, determine what moves now, and communicate those decisions clearly and with confidence, • Make sure our regional managers never have to chase you for a status updateKeep the Division Running, • Coordinate across shipping/logistics, invoicing, and inventory purchasing to resolve cross-functional issues without disrupting each team’s primary work, • Hold colleagues accountable to process timelines — professionally, directly, and without drama, • Translate leadership priorities into clear operational direction for the team, • Be the person our Director of Operations can rely on fully when she’s traveling — which is oftenBe Ready for Anything, • Build working knowledge of how each core function operates so you can cover, direct, and step in during absences, • Be physically present in the office and warehouse; know the flow of product well enough to spot the gap between the system and reality, • Show up as an extra pair of capable, knowledgeable hands at month-end and during high-volume periodsBuild Something That Lasts, • Partner with our Director of Operations to document how this division actually works — creating SOPs and workflow documentation within your first 90 days, • Identify practical, incremental improvements that reduce friction and make the whole team more effective, • Help the team navigate SAP refinements coming over the next year; be the voice of clarity when the system changes What You Bring • 5+ years in a customer-facing operations role — customer service management, inside sales coordination, operations coordination, or a comparable cross-functional position in a product-based company, • A genuine track record of being the person internal and external customers trust to get answers quickly and accurately, • Solid ERP proficiency in a product or manufacturing context: SAP Business One strongly preferred; comparable systems (Epicor, Global Shop, JobBoss, etc.) considered, • The ability to be warm with customers and direct with colleagues — and to move between those modes naturally, • A track record of holding people accountable to timelines while keeping working relationships intact, • Experience wearing multiple hats in a small-to-mid-size company — someone who does the work, not just oversees it, • Comfort working in a manufacturing environment that includes regular time in a warehouse and alongside a production operation, • Understanding of shipping/logistics, invoicing, and inventory workflows in a product-based setting, • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience fully considered What We Offer • $90,000–$100,000 annually, commensurate with experience — top of range for the right candidate, • Comprehensive benefits: health, dental, vision, 401(k), • 100% on-site at our New Rochelle, NY headquarters, • Direct access to senior leadership in a company where your work is visible and your impact is real from day one, • Mission-driven work: our products protect people on highways, bridges, and runways every day
