POSITION PURPOSE This position will be responsible for providing inspection and technical program support for equipment inspection, test, and repair portions of the overall Mechanical Integrity/Quality Assurance effort. The role will primarily focus on the Morses Mill (Linden, NJ) site, while also being integrated and part of the Acid Technology Center which provides support to all of the NEXPERA sites. The site produces Sulfuric Acid. The role will reside at the plant site and reports to the Asset Manager. PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to): • Develop/Authorize/Maintain and implement standardized inspection plans for all PSM Critical Equipment, including pressure vessels, process vessels, heat exchangers, piping, storage tanks, and other equipment., • Perform equipment inspection in accordance with API 510, API 653 and API 570 guidelines and regulations., • Complete post inspection reports and provide recommendations and/or modifications for immediate concerns and future consideration., • Develop, implement and document repair plans for fixed equipment, • Perform field contract administration duties during field repairs of equipment, • Standardize, organize, and maintain required documentation (design bases, inspection plans, inspection reports, etc.) in accord with corporate and site MIQA best practices., • Update SAP and equipment files with equipment history, Inspection Plans., • Ensure that all inspections and tests are performed in accordance with the original equipment design basis and in alignment with recognized and accepted good engineering practice (RAGAGEP)., • Ensure that all repairs to fixed PSM Critical Equipment is documented in accordance with OSHA 1970.119, • Evaluate the fitness-for-service of all fixed PSM Critical Equipment and assist other Technical/Maintenance resources in properly developing and documenting any repairs to return the equipment service., • Perform necessary calculations required within the RAGAGEP to determine the minimum allowable thickness of pressure vessels, piping, and tanks in PSM Critical service., • Provide functional guidance to NEXPERA and contract NDE Examiners, • Evaluate results of various non-destructive inspections on process equipment and provide recommendations based on those inspection results, • Act as an the Authorized Inspectors for PSM Critical pressure vessel, piping, and storage tank inspections and tests, as well as for approval of all alterations to PSM Critical pressure vessels, piping, and storage tanks., • Manage & Implement the Corrosion Monitoring program PSAIM® for the sites, • Coordinate contract NDE inspections and perform Field Contract Administrator responsibilities, • Develop Quality Assurance Plans for fabrication of new equipment (ex. tanks, pressure vessels, piping, etc…), • Perform/coordinate QA inspections of new equipment on site and at shop locations., • Estimate equipment remaining life per the applicable RAGAGEP., • Maintaining the site Owners User Manual as applicable., • Perform UT and PT on an as needed non-routine basis (NEXPERA will provide training if not certified) Qualifications In order to be qualified for this role, the following is required: • 3 plus years work experience within high hazardous chemical processing or oil refining industries or similar industries, • At least 2 out of 3 of the following certifications: API 510, API 570, API 653, • Able to travel approximately 30-40% per year, • Successful candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation. POSITION PURPOSE The Chemical Operator will monitor and operate equipment and facilities, including field equipment, ensuring quality and conformance with standard operating procedures. Additional responsibilities include always maintaining safety standards and initiating and following emergency procedures when necessary. The Operator will perform basic maintenance repair and upkeep on area equipment. Job tasks are performed in control room, lab areas, and throughout various operation areas of the site. The site operates a process safety management-covered process that produces sulfuric acid in multiple concentrations. Product is shipped in rail cars, tank trucks and portable totes. PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to): • Start up and shut down (normal and emergency) plant systems and components., • Operate, monitor and control plant systems; visually inspect, monitor equipment and process conditions., • Prepares equipment for maintenance work by isolating, clearing and locking out., • Reviews, follows and, if qualified, revises detailed process operating procedures, maintenance procedures and safety procedures., • Troubleshoots equipment to restore to normal operation., • Analyzes charts and logs to identify potential or actual problems., • Identifies system problems to stabilize plant to normal conditions., • Trains new operators in the area, reinforcing safety and environmental principles., • Performs loading and unloading of railcars, tank trucks and totes., • Perform laboratory analysis of products., • Clerical duties as required., • Shipping duties as required., • Operate mobile equipment including manlifts, fork trucks, yard-dog and trackmobile., • Participate/Lead various site teams., • Recognize abnormalities in a High Hazard work area and promptly initiate action to secure the safety of all personnel along with protection of the environment and local community. Qualifications In order to be qualified for this role, the following is required: • High School Diploma/GED equivalent, • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, • Ability to navigate the tools of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, etc.) and learn new computer systems and software applications, • Willing and able to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including overtime, nights, weekends, holidays and short notice call-in if required, • Willing and able to lift up to 50 lbs, • Willing and able to work in a High Hazard environment; outdoors, indoors, elevated heights and confined spaces, • Willing and able to wear required PPE (personal protective equipment) such as steel toe shoes, hardhat, protective eyewear, face shields, respirator, chemical acid suit, etc., • Willing and able to climb stairs, ladders; stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, crawl; visual acuity for close work; able to reach overhead; able to hear and respond to alarms, • Willing and able to acquire a boiler’s license, • Current and valid driver’s license – willing and able to obtain powered industrial truck (i.e., fork trucks and manlifts) certification, • Willing and able to operate a trackmobile to move railcars on-site and a yard-dog to move product trailers as needed on the site., • High Hazard/Chemical operations experience, • Experience reading and interpreting Schematics, Pipe & Instrumentation Diagrams, Procedures, Manufactures’ Literature, Safety Requirements, General Instructions; ability to learn and detect process deviations, • Experience operating fork trucks, • Experience with SAP or equivalent Manufacturing Operations software Successful candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.
