Job Description Job Title: Marine Painter - Immediately Hiring - San Diego, CA Job Description • Join a leading maritime engineering and ship repair contractor in supporting U.S. Navy programs worldwide. We specialize in systems engineering, shipboard modernization, corrosion control, fleet sustainment, and technical services across naval platforms. Be a part of high-priority Navy initiatives including corrosion mitigation, composite component installation, and ship systems repair. Responsibilities • Perform painting, touch-ups, and preservation on shipboard structures., • Conduct sanding, grinding, surface prepping, masking, chipping, and cleaning., • Assist technicians with coating application and material handling., • Work aboard ships, piers, dry docks, and industrial marine facilities., • Adhere to strict safety protocols and NAVSEA standards., • Complete assignments on schedule in a high-tempo environment. Essential Skills • Experience in painting, paint prep, industrial painting, spray gun, and paint application., • Shipyard experience, particularly with marine and shipboard environments., • Ability to perform preservation, coating, sanding, prepping, and masking on Navy vessels., • Shipboard paint experience of 2+ years is preferred., • Understanding of marine coating processes and activities. Additional Skills & Qualifications • High school diploma or GED preferred., • Ability to work safely in confined/industrial marine spaces., • Experience with marine coatings, confined space entry procedures, and tank preservation., • Blasting or ultra-high-pressure water jetting experience is beneficial., • Knowledge of NAVSEA Standard Items and prior shipyard or industrial experience is strongly preferred., • OSHA-10 or OSHA-Shipyard certification is advantageous., • Experience working on CVNs, DDGs, LCS, or Amphib platforms.
