Onsite Semiconductor Equipment Technician I Location: Onsite – Extension Ballston Spa, NY 12020 Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM (4x10) Openings: 3 Employment Type: Full‑Time Onsite Semiconductor Equipment Technician I supports engineering and technical operations within a semiconductor cleanroom environment at one of Ultra Clean Technology’s customer sites. This role is critical to maintaining equipment readiness, ensuring the availability of clean parts for preventive maintenance, and supporting accurate documentation and data integrity across systems. This is a hands‑on, customer‑facing onsite role requiring a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment with shifting priorities. Key Responsibilities • Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and equipment support activities, including tool breakdown, leak checks, part packaging, and kit assembly, • Support process control systems (PCS) equipment, including pumps, chillers, scrubbers, and abatement-related hardware, • Coordinate part and kit movement, shipments, and associated documentation for onsite processing, • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure data integrity across UCT and customer systems, • Assist engineering teams by collecting data and supporting resolution of:, • Discrepant Material Reports (DMRs), • Fails on Install (FOIs), • Manage site paperwork related to chemical usage, decontamination, and labeling requirements, • Apply electro‑mechanical and technical knowledge to resolve non‑standard issues with minimal supervision, • Follow all cleanroom, safety, and PPE protocols in accordance with site and OSHA requirements, • Adapt to changing priorities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, • Collaborate cross‑functionally with UCT and customer teams to support operational goals, • Perform other duties as assigned in support of engineering and manufacturing objectivesRequired Qualifications, • Electro‑mechanical aptitude with hands‑on troubleshooting ability, • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and electrical test equipment (e.g., volt meters), • Ability to work in a semiconductor cleanroom environment while following contamination control protocols, • Experience wearing required PPE, including respirators, for extended periods as required by site safety standards, • Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to work independently, • High attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards, • Effective verbal and written communication skills in a customer‑facing environment, • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, • Professional demeanor and ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teamsPreferred Qualifications, • Experience in the semiconductor industry or semiconductor parts processing/handling, • Low‑voltage electronic troubleshooting experience, • Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., change control, product disposition), • Prior experience with statistical analysis tools such as JMP or similar software, • Understanding of process management principles and continuous improvement methodologiesEducation & Experience, • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a STEM‑related field (Science, Technology, or Engineering) preferred, or, • Post‑secondary education with 2+ years of related technical, equipment maintenance, or manufacturing experienceWork Environment & Physical Requirements, • Work is performed in a semiconductor cleanroom and chemical parts cleaning environment, • Required use of PPE, including bunny suit, hood, booties, safety glasses, gloves, and respirators in accordance with site safety standards, • Ability to walk 3–5 miles per shift and stand or sit for up to 9 hours, • Ability to push carts for distances of 500 meters or more, • Ability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs, • Frequent kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, grasping, and fine motor use
