Job Description Cadogan Tate New York Limited has an exciting position available for a Professional Mover/Driver. The essential duties of this role are to work on all aspects of residential removals, collections, deliveries and installations of personal effects, art and antiques under the management of immediate supervisor. We are looking for skilled Movers with box truck driving experience, art handling experience is a bonus. Benefits • Health insurance, • Paid time off, • Employee discount, • Fuel card, • Employee assistance program, • 401(k) matching, • Vision insurance, • Flexible spending account, • Life insurance, • Dental insurance, • Gym membership Key Responsibilities • Collections and deliveries on a daily basis, locally and interstate as needed, • Handle and control all paperwork when on site or working in the field, including all condition reporting for goods, • Work with the Driver to ensure vehicle used is always safe, clean and prepared for the day or trip as required, verify what goods are needed at the start of every day or trip based on the daily trip sheet or trip manifest, • Ensure all modifications to daily trip manifest are reported and verified by the Dispatch Manager prior to making any modifications, • Proper handling, of art objects, fragile and artistic material, antique and fine furniture, • Assist with installation projects, • Preparation of condition checks and condition reports as needed, • Pack artworks, antiquities and fine furniture for transportation and storage, • Assist in the loading and unloading of Cadogan Tate trucks, • When required to start your day or end your day at a location other than Cadogan Tate New York Limited, in these instances you are required to complete a manual time sheet and to have this signed by the supervisor or your manager within 24 hours of the start or end of the day.Skills Knowledge and Expertise, • High school diploma / GED required, • Some experience in moving and handling art and furniture; packing, and safe handling, • Some experience in logistical, warehousing and moving experience, • Understanding of inventory processes and the ability to learn how to improve on handling furniture, art and antiquities from collection through to installation, • Solid problem-solving skills, • Solid organizational and time management skills, • Communication skills, • Ability to accurately execute detailed paperwork and condition reporting, • Team player, able to work with all levels of staff in a dynamic environment, • Comfortable in a results-driven workplace, • Professional demeanor at all times, • Experience with the use of hand trucks, pallet jacks, jbars, dollies and other necessary logistics equipment, • Ability to safely lift 50 pounds and maneuver objects of substantial size and weight without damage to object or person, including the ability to push and pull 150 pounds on a dolly or cart, • Ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, crouch, twist and reach overhead
