Job Description We are currently hiring a Restoration Inspector in our Civil Division for our Rochester, NY office. The Civil Division at LaBella provides comprehensive engineering, operations, and inspection services for simple and complex natural gas projects. We perform our services at Gate Stations, District Regulator Stations, Distribution and Transmission Pipelines, customer services, etc. for our utility company clients. Training will be provided. Company vehicle and laptop will also be provided. The Restoration Inspector will travel to various sites on a regular basis, conduct direct and indirect inspections of various pipeline infrastructure projects, provide direction to contractors, and report back to our utility client in order to meet client needs (primarily gas main and service replacements). Primary Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): • Traveling between both active and inactive project sites throughout Monroe, Wayne, Genesee, Orleans, Wyoming, Allegany, Livingston, Cayuga, and Ontario counties., • Ensuring pavement, curbing, concrete, and green spaces are being restored adequately and in a timely manner., • Verify compaction, topsoil, grading, erosion and sediment controls, dust mitigation, environmental site protection and other key aspects of restoration., • Measure restored quantities accurately (pavement sq footage, soil volume, planting area, etc.) to support contractor payment and punch-list development / closure., • Track progress and timeline, escalate delays or cost impacting conditions to client’s Gas Engineering Supervisor., • Assure contractor obligations are being fulfilled and that work is being conducted in accordance with client’s construction standards, O&M manual, construction plans, local regulations, municipal standards, permit conditions, and/or SWPPP, etc., • Coordinate with contractors on restoration deficiency, establish schedules for mitigation activities, and communicate with municipal officials, highway superintendents, and affected / nearby property owners., • Addressing concerns of stakeholders and avoiding potential stop work orders., • Participate in pre-construction meetings to set expectations for restoration performance and standards., • Conduct follow up investigations to ensure compliance with client expectations and standards, terms and conditions of the contracts, and the Pay ID descriptions at the end of the warrant period., • Provide weekly updates to client’s Gas Engineering Supervisor. Supporting a 1,200-acre campus, RED-Rochester has the utilities, infrastructure, technical services, support services, space and complementary regional resources to benefit a wide range of industry verticals. We are seeking a Pipefitter who enjoys the challenge of maintaining a dynamic infrastructure. Our infrastructure consists of a blend of classic and modern industrial assets and requires a person with broad industrial and utilities expertise – able to work collaboratively with others. This role is responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of piping, piping components, valves & supports for Steam, Compressed Air, Hydraulic Water, or Oil Systems across all facilities and buildings located within Eastman Business Park owned and operated by RED Rochester, LLC. Essential Duties: ► Maintain Clear and Consistent Communication relating to the current status, performance and needs of your assigned location with RED-Rochester team supervisor, maintenance planner and operations staff.
