Job Description Position Summary The Residential Porter is responsible for the upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors and leasing office, parking lots and other community buildings of multi-family residential grounds. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Performs general cleaning and custodial duties in the common areas of the building., • Performs minor repairs and maintenance such as replacing light fixtures or unclogging pipes., • Assists in cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and cafeteria., • Performs limited grounds maintenance such as mowing and trimming lawns and hedges and cleaning snow from sidewalks., • Ensures heating and cooling systems are operational., • Ensures cleaning and maintenance supplies are stocked., • Vacuum, sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors using brooms, mops or powered machines to strip floors., • Washes windows, glass partitions, and mirrors., • Assist with Laundry Services., • Clean and turnover housing units., • Dust and Disinfect furniture, walls, machines, and equipment., • Assists in examining the building for safety hazards; reports deficiencies to Maintenance Supervisor, Director of Building Operations, and/or Administrator of the Facility., • Performs other related duties as assigned.
