You'll own formulation, wick selection, burn testing, QC standards, and process optimization – the technical science of making great candles. Job Summary Under the direct supervision of the Area Manager, the superintendent is responsible for proper upkeep and maintenance of the building with the goal of providing a safe, well-maintained facility for residents and staff. The Superintendent will carry out all repairs and preventive maintenance tasks within the building and on the grounds. He/she will be responsible to ensure that all maintenance and custodial work is being done properly and in a timely manner. Job Description Dwight-Englewood School is seeking an evening custodian to join our Facilities Department. Position: Custodial Worker Schedule: Monday to Friday, 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM Reports to: Evening Manager Role Overview: We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Custodial Worker to join our facilities team. In this role, you will play an essential part in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Key Responsibilities: * Clean and sanitize restrooms, classrooms, offices, and common areas. * Sweep, mop, vacuum, and wax floors as needed. * Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste properly. * Dust and wipe down surfaces, windows, and furniture. * Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, floor buffers, and pressure washers. * Restock cleaning supplies and request additional inventory when needed. * Follow procedures for the proper use of chemicals and solutions for cleaning and use in equipment. * Shampoo and steam clean carpets and rugs. * Clean and polish furniture and fixtures. * Maintain the cleanliness of outdoor spaces, including trash pickup. * Report safety hazards, maintenance issues, or damages to the appropriate personnel. * Assist with setting up or taking down furniture and equipment for events or meetings. * Collaborate with other team members to ensure the facility operates efficiently. * Complete all other duties as assigned by the Evening Manager. Qualifications and Requirements: * A willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various tasks. * Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. * Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. * Snow Removal. * A valid driver’s license is required.
