Job Title: Manager, Vendor Outsourcing Duration: 03-month contract Location: Parsippany, NJ or Foster City, CA or Santa Monica, CA WFH Status: Onsite 3 days a week - T/W/Th Must Haves: • BA or MS in a relevant discipline with applicable professional experience, • 5+ years of relevant experience, • Proven ability to provide thought leadership while delivering consistent customer service, • Expertise in end-to-end sourcing and contracting processes including RFx, negotiation, and change order management, • In-depth knowledge of the clinical research process and regulatory environment across functions, • Demonstrated leadership skills in fast-paced and evolving environments, • Strong financial acumen to analyze and understand cost drivers within complex budgets, • Working knowledge of legal, clinical operations, and regulatory considerations Preferred: • MBA or JD preferred, • PMP, CPSM, or equivalent certification preferred Responsibilities: • Serves as an expert in contract management with a proven history of implementing and executing category roadmaps and sourcing plans, • Develops global clinical development vendor strategies for programs or therapeutic areas, • Manages contract and sourcing activities for clinical development programs, delivering consistent customer service and measurable value through cost savings and innovation, • Oversees the full contract lifecycle including RFI, vendor identification, RFP development, vendor selection, contract negotiation, performance monitoring, change orders, and agreement closeout, • Ensures vendor selection processes remain compliant while proactively managing risk, • Partners with cross-functional teams including Compliance, Legal, and Regulatory as needed, • Collaborates with internal stakeholders in vendor bidding and proposal development, including RFP creation and analysis, • Works with internal teams to develop study specifications and leverage benchmarking tools when appropriate, • Translates business requirements into vendor capabilities and provides recommendations for vendor selection for programs or therapeutic areas, • Serves as a subject matter expert in resolving complex contract negotiation and management issues, • Oversees identification, selection, and management of global external service providers, • Leads vendor bid defense meetings, • Manages negotiations for complex or high-value contracts, • Demonstrates strong understanding of regulatory and legal requirements relevant to clinical development, • Maintains a strong project focus and operates with a sense of urgency, • Analyzes and synthesizes complex financial and operational information to develop strategic recommendations, • Influences vendor selection decisions with stakeholders at the project team level, • Identifies, develops, and implements best practices in vendor selection, cost containment, and category management
