Job Description UNIVERSAL Technologies is seeking a Technical/Business Data Analyst for a hybrid role in Albany, NY supporting business process analysis, operational documentation, reporting, and data-driven decision-making initiatives. Local candidates with an active LinkedIn preferred. This position requires strong experience in business analysis, SQL development, data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and documentation within enterprise environments. ***Onsite 2 days/week. 1 year contract approximately. WHAT WE OFFER W2 employees can expect: • Competitive pay, • Health/Dental Insurance, • Group Life Insurance, • 401K, • HSA/FSA, • Pre-Tax Transportation Program, • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Public Administration, or related field, • 5–7+ years of relevant experience in business analysis, data analysis, or related roles, • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, • Experience gathering, documenting, and validating business requirements and operational processes, • Experience developing Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), use cases, workflow diagrams, and process documentation, • Proficiency writing, optimizing, and maintaining SQL queries for reporting and data analysis, • Experience collecting, cleaning, validating, reconciling, and analyzing structured and unstructured data, • Experience developing reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools, • Ability to translate analytical findings into business insights and actionable recommendations, • Experience documenting analytical methodologies, assumptions, data sources, and reporting logic, • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical stakeholders, • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a client-facing environment, • Experience creating, standardizing, and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and operational documentation, • Knowledge of data governance, data modeling, or ETL processes, • Experience supporting healthcare, pharmacy programs, Medicaid, Long-Term Care (LTC), or EVV environments preferred, • Elicit, document, and validate business requirements through stakeholder engagement sessions, • Develop Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), use cases, workflow diagrams, and process flows, • Document current-state and future-state business processes and operational workflows, • Create, standardize, and maintain SOPs and operational documentation, • Support strategic initiatives by translating business goals into actionable processes and documentation, • Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries for reporting, analysis, and data validation activities, • Collect, clean, analyze, and reconcile structured and unstructured datasets, • Perform data quality assurance, validation, and reconciliation processes, • Develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support operational and business decision-making, • Translate analytical findings into business insights, reporting requirements, and process improvements, • Document analytical approaches, assumptions, methodologies, and data sources, • Support technical and non-technical stakeholders in understanding data outputs and reporting capabilities
