KP Aviation, an international supplier and procurer of aftermarket aviation components and assets, is searching for the next key member of our team! The Technical Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all technical evaluations related to the acquisition, leasing, and disposition of aircraft, engines, and material packages considered for purchase or lease. This role provides technical leadership across asset transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory, contractual, and company standards while supporting commercial decision-making. The Technical Manager leads aircraft and engine transition activities by directing and performing detailed technical audits and evaluations of assets and associated records prior to technical acceptance. This includes, but is not limited to, review of airworthiness documentation (ADs, SBs, MODs, STCs, LDND), component life status (TCI components and LLPs with back-to-birth traceability), OCCM status, landing gear LLP traceability and overhaul records, structural repair assessments (dent and buckle charts), APU and engine records, BSI evaluations, operational compliance requirements, certifications, and physical inspections. In addition to hands-on technical oversight, the Technical Manager drives process improvements, mentors’ technical staff, interfaces with internal and external stakeholders, and ensures the continued airworthiness and technical integrity of the company’s asset portfolio. Performs other duties as assigned by management. Your role will take you to new heights, as you will be tasked with these essential job responsibilities: • Lead and oversee detailed audits of commercial aircraft and engine records to ensure assets meet regulatory, contractual, and company requirements., • Serve as the technical authority for asset acquisitions, leases, returns, and remarketing activities., • Maintain expertise and provide guidance on best practices related to ADs, SBs, LLP back-to-birth traceability (engines and landing gear), OCCM/HT, LDND, structural repairs, BSIs, historical shop visits, and DFP interpretation., • Manage and support pre-purchase asset evaluations, lease returns, and end-of-lease technical audits., • Ensure continued airworthiness of engines and assets on lease, including annual and lifecycle audits., • Review and approve BSI reports, records, and videos for technical accuracy and completeness., • Oversee preparation of Technical Minipacks and back-to-birth trace documentation for asset marketing and transactions., • Direct and support GVIs and QEC/LRU readouts during asset transitions., • Partner with Airlines, MROs, Lessors, and internal stakeholders to resolve technical discrepancies and records gaps., • Lead initiatives to improve technical processes, reduce turnaround time, and enhance audit efficiency., • Oversee organization, maintenance, and integrity of digital and physical technical records across projects., • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to engineers and technical staff as applicable., • Support commercial, leasing, and trading teams by providing clear, actionable technical assessments and risk evaluations., • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management. To succeed in this role, you will need to have: • Advanced knowledge of aircraft and engine systems and technical records auditing., • Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management, leasing, and aftermarket requirements., • Proven ability to lead and oversee complex technical audits and evaluations., • Strong working knowledge of industry regulations, airworthiness requirements, and best practices., • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and technical records management systems., • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders., • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills under time and operational pressure., • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines., • Ability to work effectively with customers, partners, internal teams, and senior management., • High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail., • Ability to continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures., • Willingness and ability to travel to customer and project locations, including extended travel when required., • Self-directed, adaptable, and capable of operating in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
