Do you have a strong technical background and experience leading product teams? Can you lead and guide our talented and self‑motivated software engineers across several locations? Do you enjoy making distributed and highly scalable AI‑powered SaaS in the cloud? Then this might just be what you are looking for! The role you’ll play As Engineering Team Lead, you'll take ownership of an existing team — hiring new engineers, developing the people you have, and raising the bar on how the team works. This isn't a feature factory. We run empowered product teams: you and your Product Manager own the product. Together you discover customer problems worth solving, decide what to build, and own its outcome. Your team is responsible for the full development lifecycle — you build it, you run it. The team you’ll be a part of You’ll join an existing team in the Technology department, working alongside 6 other teams in a distributed, international setup. Your team develops and maintains some of the most critical components that sustain our business such as authentication/authorization, object/file storage, notifications (chat, email, SMS), back office integrations (CRM & ERP), reporting and AI Agents integration into our business workflows. You’ll report to the Director of Engineering and work closely with five other Tech Leads. If you want to make a difference, make it with us by… Co‑driving the product. Together with your PM, you own the product. You bring technical insight into what's possible, shape the solution, and take shared responsibility for outcomes — not just delivery. Leading and growing your team. Hiring well, developing people's skills, and creating an environment where senior engineers and newer talent both thrive. Driving engineering excellence. Raising the bar on CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing, observability, and everything else that lets a team ship confidently and often. Staying hands‑on. Contributing to the codebase through implementation and code reviews. You lead by example. Designing scalable solutions. Architecting cloud‑native services and integrating AI agents into business workflows. Raising the bar beyond your team. Collaborating with fellow Tech Leads and senior leadership to improve engineering maturity across the organization — processes, practices, and culture. In one year, you’ll know you were successful if… You’ve grown the team with the right people and built a cohesive unit that ships independently and owns its product with confidence. Your team has measurably improved the scalability, reliability, or functionality of the products you own. Your team promotes and adopts engineering best practices (CI/CD, automated QA, observability). Your engineers are growing, and you and your team push the entire technology organization to improve. Desired experience and competencies What you’ll need to bring People management Experience leading and hiring software engineers – building teams, not just managing them. A track record of developing people: helping junior engineers grow, keeping senior engineers challenged, and building trust across the team. Strong communication skills and comfort leading in a distributed, multi‑location setup. Product thinking You care about why you're building something, not just how. You can reason about customer problems, trade‑offs, and outcomes alongside your PM. Ability to balance competing priorities: feature delivery, tech debt, platform investment. You make these trade‑offs visible and advocate for all three. Operational & Engineering excellence Comfort running the team's operational rhythm (roadmap ownership, backlog management, sprint/cycle planning) without drowning in process. Strong opinions (loosely held) on CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing, observability, and release management. Experience establishing or improving engineering practices in a team instead of just following existing ones. Familiarity with "you build it, you run it" ownership models. Technical depth Solid hands‑on experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Vue), .NET, relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud providers (e.g., Azure). Comfort designing and building cloud‑native distributed systems based on microservice. Interest in (or experience with) AI agents and embedding AI into business workflows. This will make you stand out Experience working in empowered product teams where engineering owns product outcomes instead of just delivering against a backlog. Experience embedding AI into an existing product (not just greenfield experimentation). Experience working at a tech‑enabled language service provider (LSP).
