We are looking for a Business Analyst for Finance Data Integration & Architecture Lead to join our team! About Us SAP Solutions area is part of FCOS Madrid and an integral part of the central Finance & Controlling (FC) organization of Mercedes-Benz Group. Our team of ~67 professionals combine SAP consultancy excellence with product steering capabilities. We operate within the Dual Operating Model (Capabilities & Products) and actively contribute to the Agile Release Trains (ARTs) under the SAFe framework across FA/SC and ITG. Our focus lies on delivering and steering Finance Solutions based on SAP technologies, covering core end-to-end financial processes such as: • Record-to-Report (R2R), • Purchase-to-Pay (P2P), • Order-to-Cash (O2C), • Financial Services & Mobility, • Finance Business Intelligence (FI-BI) We provide deep expertise in Mercedes-Benz Finance templates, SAP Finance architecture, data & analytics solutions, and agile delivery models. We operate in a highly international, matrixed environment, closely integrated with FCOS Stuttgart and global stakeholders. Role Purpose The Business Analyst for Finance Data Integration & Architecture Lead is responsible for driving the definition, harmonization, and evolution of the Finance Integration Layer across Finance reporting, controlling, and analytics landscapes within FC.OS, integrating both BI and ERP solutions. The role ensures alignment between Finance business requirements, enterprise data architecture, reporting processes, and integrated IT solutions across multiple systems and domains, acting as a bridge between business requirements, data models, and system implementation within a global, agile (SAFe) environment. The position plays a key role in enabling consistent, scalable, and harmonized Finance data structures and integration capabilities supporting Mercedes-Benz global Finance transformation initiatives. The role ensures: • Consistent and harmonized Finance data integration across ERP, BI, and reporting environments, • Alignment between Finance business requirements and enterprise architecture solutions, • Strong governance and consistency of Finance data structures and reporting logic, • Effective collaboration between Finance, IT, architecture, and governance organizations, • Scalable integration capabilities supporting strategic transformation initiatives and agile delivery models Key Responsibilities 1. Finance Data Integration & Architecture • Lead and support the design and evolution of the Finance Integration Layer across reporting and analytics landscapes., • Define and harmonize data integration concepts, interfaces, transformation logic, and system interactions across Finance platforms., • Support the design of scalable and integrated Finance architecture solutions aligned with enterprise standards., • Ensure alignment between Finance business requirements, reporting structures, and technical implementation., • Contribute to the definition of methods, processes, and system requirements supporting Finance integration initiatives. 1. Finance Reporting & Data Governance • Ensure consistency and harmonization of Finance data, reporting structures, and controlling logic across BI systems and reporting environments., • Support governance processes related to Finance data standards, integration principles, and reporting methodologies., • Collaborate with governance bodies, IT organizations, and management stakeholders to align strategic priorities and architectural decisions., • Ensure alignment with legal and regulatory reporting requirements, including IFRS-related standards., • Support identification and resolution of data inconsistencies across ERP, BI, and reporting systems. 1. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Agile Delivery • Collaborate closely with Finance, IT, Product Owners, ARTs, Solution Architects, and business stakeholders in international environments., • Facilitate workshops and cross-functional discussions to define both strategic concepts and detailed solution approaches., • Support agile delivery models and integration of Finance solutions into IT products and platforms., • Drive initiatives from conceptual design through implementation and operational integration., • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within Finance data and reporting landscapes. Qualifications Education & Experience • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or related field., • More than 6 years of professional experience in Finance, controlling, reporting, analytics, or Finance IT environments., • Proven experience in international and matrixed organizations with cross-functional collaboration between Finance and IT., • Experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, and Finance transformation initiatives., • Advanced degree (MBA or Master’s in Finance, Data, or Information Systems) is considered an advantage. Technical & Professional Expertise Finance & Data Expertise • Strong understanding of Finance controlling and reporting processes, including financial data structures such as EBIT, cost structures, and revenue models., • Knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks relevant to Finance reporting, including IFRS standards., • Strong analytical and integrative thinking capabilities with the ability to understand complex financial data flows., • Experience designing and validating reporting structures and reporting logic. Data Integration & Architecture • Experience with data integration concepts, data warehousing, data modeling, and transformation processes., • Strong understanding of integration layer architecture and interfaces between multiple systems and business domains., • Ability to translate business requirements into integrated IT and architecture solutions., • Experience defining functional architecture, integration concepts, methods, and system requirements., • Strong end-to-end understanding of data lifecycle management across ERP, BI, and reporting environments. Governance & Agile Delivery • Experience steering requirements and alignment processes across governance bodies, IT organizations, and management stakeholders., • Experience working in SAFe and Agile delivery environments., • Knowledge of agile collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms., • Ability to drive initiatives from concept to implementation in collaboration with Product Owners and ART organizations. SAP & Reporting Technologies • Strong knowledge of SAP FI/CO environments, ideally SAP S/4HANA., • Experience with BI platforms and reporting technologies such as SAP BW, Microsoft Fabric, or comparable analytics solutions., • Mercedes-Benz business and process knowledge is considered a strong advantage.
