Overview Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Simulation Combat SP based in Getafe (Madrid). The holder of the position is responsible for the management of the Simulation Team "Simulation Combat SP" focused on simulation tasks in the context of Eurofighter. The mission of the team is two-fold: providing Simulation Services for Development Support and delivering Training System Solutions and components to the responsible Service Org. Main customers are the Combat- and Service-PMO. Tasks use assets provided by Design Office organizations (e.g., models and assets developed in Simulation) and are applicable across Programs and Sites. The holder shall strongly contribute to harmonization of all Eurofighter simulation activities at Getafe and Manching, including the EF simulators operated there. The position involves project management within a matrix organization using the solutions of the teams developing the technical building blocks. Responsibilities Lead a team of Engineers as per Airbus leadership model Specify, develop and deliver simulation infrastructures, simulation models and capabilities Provide flexible and adaptable simulation means to support R&D and Human Machine Interface (HMI) projects Provide simulations for simulators of different levels (from desktop to Full Mission), virtual integration platforms and simulation cockpit needs Provide support to Design Office organizations, in A/C systems Ensure availability, maintenance and continuous improvement of simulation means Provide internal and customer training and maintain a portfolio of Simulation Means Support the department strategy to harmonize and create synergies of simulation, system and test tools inside engineering; contribute to collaboration and development of common solutions Support further business development in the Training Systems area in close collaboration with Services Manage workload and workforce of the team according to the OP planning and department controlling process Ensure customer satisfaction and competitiveness with respect to Airbus engineering tools and simulation methods and technologies Skills Masters Degree in Computer Science, Aeronautical Engineering or similar Minimum of 10 Years of Professional Experience Organisation & Team-Leadership skills Project management of military development- and training-system projects Simulation software design & testing, agile development methodologies Simulation modelling and qualification standards Experience and knowledge regarding the Eurofighter Weapon system and its Simulation in a RT-environment Experience regarding the development and application of simulation means for A/C systems qualification Experience regarding EF Training Systems (PSTS) and familiarity with involved stakeholders Experience in international project environments Teamwork oriented / collaborative spirit Proficiency in English (oral & written) Readiness to travel This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for a clearance by the recognized authorities.
