Job Description Manage and oversee SPA & Wellness operations Ensure that the spa operates cost effectively and efficiently. Implement inventory control procedures to ensure that adequate stock levels are maintained. Develop budgets and short to long range strategic planning for the operation of the spa. Develop the spa's standard operating procedures and policies. Work with the Sales & Marketing team regarding all aspects of spa promotions. Maintain thorough knowledge of competitors, including location, product offering, pricing, promotions and sales techniques. Understands the impact of department operations on the overall financial goals and objectives of the property and manages to meet or exceed budgeted goals. Sets a positive example in customer relations. Interacts with customers to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels. Addresses customer problems and complaints. Motivates employees to provide excellent customer service. Emphasizes customer satisfaction during all departmental meetings and focuses on continuous improvement. Strives to improve service performance. Maintains a close relationship with the teams, always listening to identify and address employee issues or concerns and escalate them to the Director of Spa. Drives the continuous training program so that employees receive adequate training to successfully perform their jobs. Ensures compliance with operating policies and procedures. Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Business and or Hospitality Management Two years experience in a same role in a 5 star spa with a multicultural team or 5 years as SPA Manager Advanced level of English and Spanish. The General Manager must coordinate efficient operations by collaborating with their team to ensure Rosas Café procedures are always followed. They are integral to maintaining and strengthening the brand reputation by ensuring the team consistently delivers gold standard customer service and high-quality product. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Oversee and manage the operations of Rosas Café as the General Manager. • Recruit staff when required that will add to the Rosas Café atmosphere & deliver exceptional gold standard customer service. • Ensure all new starters receive Rosas Café training as per: o INDUCTION TRAINING CHECKLISTS (ITCs) prior to commencement. o OPERATIONAL TRAINING CHECKLISTS (OTCs) within one month of commencing employment and refreshers. o LEADERSHIP TRAINING CHECKLISTS to be used to develop management team. • Lead and mentor staff throughout induction and establishment into the workplace to ensurethey develop the skills required to serve customers in safe and effective manner consistent with our brand values and customer promise. • ‘Manage the floor’ including task allocation and ensure clear direction is given to all staff to maximise experience and efficiency. • Handle customer complaints in a professional manner ensuring a positive experience. • Discipline staff as required in consultation with Operations Manager, to ensure correct procedures are followed as per training guide. • Hold regular team meetings and create action plans to improve operations and sales. • Create annual sales and expense budget and communicate with management. • Manage operations in conjunction to minimise wastage, shrinkage and loss relative to theopportunity for sales. • Maximise profitability of cafe by taking all opportunities to manage stock levels, labour content and costs whilst achieving budgeted sales and Gross Profit targets. • Complete an/or approve cafe rosters and achieve budgeted labour costs. • Prioritise all areas for cash control such as daily cash variances and banking and investigate any discrepancies thoroughly and quickly. • Complete month end P&L and create action plan on improvements required and communicate with management team. • Provide input on suggested range, with Rosas Café Head Office, based on customer feedback and opportunities to increase sales. • Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to Rosas Café recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards. • Responsible for ordering food products, ensuring all items are received in correct quantities and condition. • Manage stock to optimum levels and ensure stock rotation is in place. • Complete stocktakes of kitchen food and consumable items. • Ensure all standard recipes and waste control procedures are followed including checking and maintaining proper food holding and refrigeration temperature control points. • Ensure that all equipment is kept in excellent working condition and action equipment maintenance accordingly. • Create a safe, secure and healthy workplace environment by ensuring BOH follow all ITC procedures and the Rosas Café Food Safety program. 📩Ready for the challenge?
