1. General Purpose EOLOS is a Floating Lidar Company that designs, manufactures and operates its floating lidar systems (FLS200s). As a data-selling company, EOLOS is committed to delivering top quality data to the offshore wind industry. In this regard, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing data-driven solutions to our clients, as well as supporting internal projects. The candidate will be responsible for delivering and sustaining a scalable code infrastructure to ensure the best quality in ETL pipelines as well as CI/CD frameworks. Furthermore, the candidate will be responsible for analysing complex data sets, building predictive models, and using statistical analysis to provide insights and recommendations to different stakeholders. The ideal candidate should hold a STEM degree and have a solid background in mathematics as well as programming best practices and cloud computing. Experience in wind, waves, currents, renewable energy and remote sensing will also be highly valued. Furthermore, the candidate will focus on developing new services related to data science to be offered to our clients. The candidate will join a multidisciplinary and dynamic team. 2. Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities • Contribute actively to software development, improving and maintaining existing codebases., • Design, implement and maintain data (CI/CD) pipelines and ETL processes., • Support data queries from clients in commercial projects, including direct interaction with clients., • Develop efficient algorithms and data structures to process, store, and retrieve large datasets., • Ensure the scalability, performance, and reliability of software and data systems., • Document software design, code, and system configurations., • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, data scientists, and IT professionals., • Develop and implement related services to be offered to clients, • Analyze large and complex data sets to identify trends and patterns, • Work with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and develop data-driven strategies, • Use data visualization tools to present insights and recommendations to stakeholders 3. Education and Experience required • Master's degree in a STEM field (computer science, engineering, etc.), • Strong programming skills in Python, MATLAB, R, Spark SQL, Java, SQL or other programming languages, with experience in delivering high quality scalable and maintainable code., • Familiar with CI/CD environment (git, and pipelines), • Familiar with container applications, such as Docker, • Solid understanding of software development principles, data structures, and algorithms., • Experience with database management systems (DBMS) and data modelling., • Knowledge of wind, waves, currents, and renewable energy is highly desirable., • Experience in remote sensing is highly valued, • Highly motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team, • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, • 2 years of experience in data systems or a related field, • Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, machine learning, and data mining techniques, • Knowledge of Microsoft tools and Azure. Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure DevOps is highly valued., • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka is a plus 4.
