Quobly, a deep tech company based in the Grenoble area, is developing a new generation of silicon-based quantum microprocessors. To support our ambition, we are looking for a Senior CMOS Device for Quantum Engineer (Device Physics & Data Analytics) We are seeking a highly analytical CMOS Device for Quantum Device Engineer to bridge the gap between fundamental semiconductor physics and large-scale manufacturing data. In this role, you won’t just be looking at pass/fail metrics; you will be the "detective" of the silicon, using advanced statistical methods to explain the physical phenomena occurring within our CMOS processes tailored for Qubit constrain. Your tasks: • You will make Physical Characterization & Modeling: Analyze short-channel effects, gate leakage, mobility degradation, at room and cryo temperature. You will translate complex device physics into actionable insights for the process lots., • You will define Statistical Data Mining: Develop and implement automated data analysis pipelines to evaluate transistor performance across batches of wafers., • You will make Yield & Variation Analysis: Lead the investigation into "Root Cause Physics" for parametric shifts. You will use Python or JMP to correlate electrical performance with upstream process variations., • You will make TCAD Correlation: Work closely with the TCAD team to calibrate simulations against silicon data, ensuring that our physical models accurately reflect real-world hardware distributions. Collaboration • Collaborate with talented people, in a culture of transparency and autonomy., • Work hand in hand with members of our technical teams. Your profile: 1. Deep Physics Expertise • You have PhD or MS in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or Material Science., • You have expert understanding of MOSFET operation, including non-ideal effects in FinFET, GAA (Gate-All-Around) or FDSOI architectures., • You have Knowledge of tunneling mechanisms, quantization effects in thin films, and strain engineering. 2. Data Science & Analysis Proficiency • You have High proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) or R for data manipulation., • You have Expert-level experience with JMP, Spotfire, or SQL. Working at Quobly also means: • Working in Grenoble, home to some of the fastest-moving tech and industrial companies around, and a great base camp for a wide range of activities from outdoor and mountain sports to arts and culture., • Grenoble offers an affordable lifestyle, ensuring you can plan for a comfortable future while advancing your career with us., • The opportunity to develop in-demand skills alongside the best researchers in their fields., • A collaborative work environment and a company culture where trust is paramount and where individual contributions are recognized., • Presenting at international conferences to share our latest results., • Work-life balance, with a standard package of 213 workdays per year., • Work from home up to four days per week, depending on the position., • With offices close to city center, you have the possibility to live in a 15-minute city., • Employer contribution to public transportation passes and human-powered mobility solutions.
