DB&T contributes to develop Veolia’s leading position in all its markets, reinforcing our value creation.Job DescriptionThe Technical Expert oversees technical architecture, lead projects, and ensure a successful handover to operations. They provide high-level technical support to Service Managers on complex incidents. A key part of the role is also to drive service innovation and animate a product community to communicate strategy and foster continuous improvement.Main activitiesMaintain expertise in connectivity products and technologies (SDWAN, LAN, WIFI, PROXY, DNS/DHCP, FIREWALL) with vendors to drive innovation in deployed solutionsManage and ensure compliance of network architectures with Technical Architecture and Operations Documents (DATEX)Update and maintain technical documentation and architecture complianceLead small to medium-sized projects as project manager; ensure smooth transition to operational teams led by Service ManagersAnimate and lead communities around assigned products to communicate on strategy, product evolutions, and service understandingDrive continuous improvement actions through active community engagement and knowledge sharingSupport Service Managers in controlling managed service provider activities, particularly on complex tickets and critical incidentsConduct technical diagnostics, validate action plans, and ensure resolution on complex and critical incidentsEnsure technical best practices and compliance with operational procedures are respectedProvide technical escalation support and expertise to Service Managers on complex operational topicsParticipate in service definition and continuous improvement initiativesParticipate in vendor management and technical committeesOptimize technical solutions to improve end-user experience and reduce costsQualificationsMain skillsTechnical: deep L2/L3 expertise (BGP, OSPF, Spanning-tree) in connectivity products, and technologies (SDWAN, LAN, WIFI, PROXY, DNS/DHCP, FIREWALL)Project management: Lead small to medium-sized projects as project managerClient Centricity: Animate and lead communities around assigned products to communicate on strategy, product evolutions, and service understandingInformation Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL): Integration in a service approach to guarantee Operational Excellence and good transition from project to operational teams.English: Fluent to be able to discuss with BU and use international documentationKey behavioral skillsSimplifying complex concepts: Ability to make complex information easy to understand for a non-expert audienceCommunication IT & Business: Ability to transmit information, broadcast a message in a clear and understandable wayTransversality: Ability to work with several teams with no hierarchical linkDecision making: Ability to listen, decide or escalateConviction / Assertivity: Ability to argue to persuadeFormalisation & Rigor: Ability to be clear in the communication, to unsure a good undersanting & alignment of the differents stakeholderAutonomy: Ability to understand needs, use hard & soft skill to manage topics without systematic escalation.
