About the Role:
We are currently seeking a skilled Bricklayer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining brickwork structures while ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret and work from drawings, photographs, and specifications to determine job requirements.
Measure construction sites and accurately lay out the first lines of bricks to mark the position of walls.
Mix and spread mortar on foundations and bricks.
Place, level, and align bricks in mortar beds and walls to ensure structural integrity.
Use hand and power tools to shape and trim bricks as required.
Carry out various trade-related duties as needed.
Adhere to strict health and safety regulations on-site.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues and subcontractors.
Maintain a high standard of workmanship, ensuring compliance with project timelines and quality standards.
Communicate clearly and concisely to ensure smooth workflow and coordination.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a bricklayer in a construction environment.
Strong knowledge of bricklaying techniques, materials, and tools.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
A firm commitment to workplace safety and compliance with regulations.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines.
