Reports To: Production Manager Number of direct reports - 25- 30 Hours of work: Monday – Thursday 8am – 4.30pm, Friday 8am – 1.30pm (37.5hrs pw). Who are we? Position Overview: As the Team Leader you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations on the production floor for your area, this could be Apex, Industrial, Kinetics, Econiq, sheet metal. As the Team leader you will be responsible for coordinating team activities, ensuring production targets are met, maintaining quality standards, and promoting a safe and efficient working environment. Key responsibilities: • Supervise and coordinate the activities of production team members, • Ensure the daily production plan is achieved to meet daily targets and quality standards, • Monitor workflow and allocate resources effectively to meet deadlines, • Train, mentor, and evaluate your team to ensure high performance and adherence to company policies, • Implement and monitor compliance with safety procedures and company standards, • Collaborate with quality, maintenance and other departments to minimise downtime and resolve production issues, • Maintain accurate production records, reports, and shift documentation, • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and product quality, • Identify areas for training and development to build a high-performing team, • Identify problem areas and provide workable solutions Skills & Qualifications: • At least 2 years' experience in a similar role in a Production or Manufacturing environment, • Strong leadership and people management skills (experience of managing team size between 25-30 minimum), • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, safety regulations, and quality control, • Able to drive the team performance to achieve targets, • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities, • Proficient in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, ERP systems), • Able to work under pressure to tight deadlines What We Offer: • Salary dependent on experience, • Annual leave – 25 days plus bank holidays, • Pension - auto-enrolment after 3 months of service, • Health Assured - Employee Assistant Programme, • Employee Referral Scheme - receive up to £500, • Quarterly Volution Values Award - £100 if nominated, • Ongoing training and development Equal opportunities: All current employees and potential employees are provided equal employment opportunities by Volution Group Plc.
