With a strong focus on continuous improvement, safety, and quality, we are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our engineering team and play a key role in keeping our automated production facility running at peak performance. The Role As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving a wide range of automated machinery and equipment. Working closely with production teams, you’ll help drive performance through proactive maintenance and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about engineering excellence. Shift Pattern is Monday to Friday 6am-2pm & 2pm-10pm (alternating weeks) Key Responsibilities • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and communicate clearly with production on expected downtime and solutions, • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and servicing in line with schedules, • Support the commissioning and installation of new equipment, • Work collaboratively with the production and engineering teams to improve OEE, reduce downtime, and enhance machinery performance, • Complete all necessary engineering documentation accurately and on time, • Attend team meetings and contribute to improvements in GMP, safety, and efficiency, • Identify and implement solutions to reduce waste and inefficiencies, • Maintain a clean, safe working environment, in line with Health & Safety policies and “audit-ready” site standards, • Take part in ongoing training and development, including becoming a super-user on key equipment, • Support in completing risk assessments and ensuring compliance with site procedures What We’re Looking For • City & Guilds, BTEC Level 3 or above in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, • Recognised apprenticeship in a manufacturing environment (preferred), • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a fast-paced automated production facility, • Strong understanding of both mechanical and electrical maintenance, • Proactive and self-motivated with excellent communication skills, • A keen focus on Health & Safety, hygiene, and continuous improvement, • Willingness to work flexibly, including occasional travel to other sites, • Experience in FMCG, food, or brewery environments, • Knowledge of HACCP and food hygiene standards, • Familiarity with Moba grading equipment, automation, and tray wash systems, • IOSH Working Safely certification (training provided if required) Training & Development We invest in our people.
