HR Advisor\n\nLocation: North West (multi‑site)\nSalary: Competitive + benefits\nContract: Full‑time, permanent\n\nAre you an experienced HR professional looking for a role where you can genuinely influence people, processes, and culture? We’re looking for a proactive HR Advisor to join our growing team and provide high‑quality HR support across three sites in the North West.\n\nThis is a hands‑on generalist role where you’ll be the first point of contact for employees and managers, supporting everything from recruitment and on-boarding to employee relations, training, and policy guidance.\n\nWhat you’ll be doing\n\n * Acting as the first point of contact for all HR queries (in person, email, and phone)\n\n * Providing clear, compliant HR advice to managers and employees\n\n * Supporting a wide range of employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, absence, and performance\n\n * Managing end‑to‑end recruitment: requisitions, job descriptions, advertising, agency liaison, screening, interviewing, and feedback\n\n * Issuing contracts and new starter documentation accurately and on time\n\n * Overseeing on-boarding, including medical checks, references, right‑to‑work, and induction\n\n * Managing HR systems (VinciWorks, Verifile, Optima Health) and reporting monthly to the HR Manager\n\n * Supporting managers through probation reviews at key milestones\n\n * Assisting with the annual salary review process and identifying exceptional performers\n\n * Working collaboratively with union representatives and staying up to date with the Employment Rights Act 2025\n\n * Designing and delivering training sessions for managers and employees\n\n * Preparing accurate payroll data (overtime, sickness, starters, leavers, changes)\n\n * Managing family‑friendly policy requests (maternity, paternity, flexible working, etc.)\n\nWhat we’re looking for\n\n * Previous experience in a generalist HR role\n\n * Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice\n\n * Confident handling employee relations cases\n\n * Experience managing recruitment processes end‑to‑end\n\n * Comfortable delivering training and coaching managers\n\n * Strong organisational skills and attention to detail\n\n * Ability to build trust and credibility across all levels\n\n * Experience working with unions (desirable)\n\n * Familiarity with HR systems such as VinciWorks, Verifile, or Optima Health (advantageous)\n\nWhat you’ll get\n\n * A supportive HR team and a manager who invests in your development\n\n * The chance to shape processes, influence culture, and drive continuous improvement\n\n * Exposure to a wide range of HR activities across multiple sites\n\n * Opportunities to deliver training and develop your HR specialisms\n\nReady to make an impact?\n\nIf you’re a confident HR Advisor who enjoys variety, autonomy, and working closely with people at all levels, we’d love to hear from you
