The Role • Lead mechanical design from concept to manufacture for machinery and process systems, • Oversee a small design team, checking and approving work to ensure quality and accuracy, • Produce 3D models, assemblies, fabrication drawings, and BOMs, • Plan workloads, allocate resources, and support Project Managers, • Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to resolve technical issues, • Manage drawing release, revision control, and documentation You’ll Need • HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent), • 8 years’ experience in machinery, process, or automation design, • Strong fabrication, pipework, and assembly knowledge, • Experience mentoring, checking drawings, and maintaining design standards, • Confident communicator ready to step into leadership Nice to Have • Knowledge of P&IDs, process equipment, or DfM, • Familiarity with CE marking, machinery safety, or fluid systems If you’ve been the “go-to” designer in your team and you’re ready to lead, this role will take you there.
