Senior Electrical Design Engineer Location - Portsmouth, with occasional travel to client sites across the UK. We’re looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a growing team delivering complex and high-profile design projects across sectors such as Defence, Building Infrastructure and Commercial. You’ll play a key part in developing safe, efficient, and sustainable electrical systems that meet both client and regulatory standards. What You’ll Do • Lead and deliver electrical design projects from initial concept to final handover., • Produce and review schematics, calculations, and layouts using modern design tools., • Ensure all work meets UK standards and regulations (BS7671, Building Regs, MOD JSPs, etc.)., • Work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure seamless delivery., • Carry out site visits, surveys, and risk assessments., • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers., • Support tender and bid submissions with technical input., • Oversee testing, commissioning, and handover stages. About You • Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related field., • Ideally Chartered or working towards professional registration (IET preferred)., • Around 5+ years’ experience in electrical design across multiple sectors., • Confident using tools like AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech, and Dialux., • Strong communicator with great stakeholder management skills., • Able to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
