Role: Mechanical Design Engineer Location: Colchester, Essex Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading UK provider of industrial noise and vibration control solutions. What You’ll Be Doing: • Designing noise and vibration control products, from doors and screens to full enclosures, using CAD software., • Producing 2D and 3D models for client approval, fabrication, and installation., • Conducting ventilation analysis (CFD) and producing reports for project teams and clients., • Preparing complete design packages including BOMs, specifications, installation drawings, and as-built documentation., • Collaborating with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure seamless project delivery., • Ensuring compliance with CDM 2015 regulations and company health & safety standards., • Continuously improving design efficiency and product quality., • Occasionally visiting project sites, clients, or suppliers as required (expenses covered). What We’re Looking For: • Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD LT (or similar)., • Experience with sheet metal fabrication and CFD simulation., • Some exposure to PDM software., • Qualified to HND or degree level in an engineering discipline., • Full, clean driving license., • Conscientious, proactive, and committed to personal development and team success.
