Principal Power Electronics Design Engineer Warwickshire, UK £70-85k + bonus + benefits Note: This role requires specialist experience of the design and development of power converters (transformers / inductors) – ideally 50 -200 kW - including magnetics. This role requires extensive experience of power electronics design specifically the design of power conversion products. This will involve the design of magnetic components of transformers / inductors. Engineers should be able to take products through the design lifecycle - from concept to series production. It would ideally suit a principal electronics engineer but the company is open to considering a senior engineer with evident technical leadership experience too. Key elements: Principal Power Electronics Design Engineer. • Power electronics design and development (isolated power converters – high power), • Experience with a variety of power converter topologies (e.g. Flyback converter, Forward converter, Half-bridge / Full-bridge, Push-pull converter, Resonant) and their application., • Experience of the design of high-power electronic converters for automotive / electric vehicle applications would be great.
