Your Responsibilities: - Guest Service : Greet and seat guests in a warm and welcoming manner, ensuring they feel comfortable and valued from the moment they arrive. - Menu Knowledge : Guide guests through our menu, offering recommendations and answering questions about ingredients, preparation, and wine pairings. - Order Taking and Delivery : Accurately take and process orders, ensuring food and drink are delivered to the table promptly and following guest requests. - Drink Preparation : Prepare and serve a variety of drinks, including wine, cocktails, and hot beverages (coffee, tea, etc.), ensuring that they meet our high standards of quality and presentation. - Upselling : Proactively suggest additional menu items, including specials and desserts, to enhance the guest experience. - Team Collaboration : Work alongside kitchen staff and fellow servers to ensure smooth service and meet customer needs. - Maintain Cleanliness : Keep the restaurant tidy, including clearing and resetting tables quickly and efficiently, and maintaining the cleanliness of service areas. - Problem-Solving : Address any guest concerns or issues in a calm and professional manner, ensuring a positive outcome for both the customer and the business. - Cash Handling : Process payments accurately, including handling cash and credit card transactions. What we’re Looking for: - Experience working in a similar role with a focus on Italian cuisine. - Ability to work in a kitchen with high standards. - Skilled in pasta, sauces, meat and fish preparation. - Excellent team player with good communication and time management. - Must have the legal right to work in the UK – no visa sponsorship provided. Your Responsibilities: - Prepare dishes according to our established menu and seasonal specials. - Maintain high levels of hygiene and food safety (Level 2 Food Hygiene preferred). - Support and mentor junior team members where needed. - Contribute ideas for menu development and specials.
