SEND Caseworker About the Role We are looking for an experienced SEND Casework Officer to support schools, services, and families in meeting the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The role involves coordinating statutory assessments, supporting multi-agency work, and ensuring children and young people receive appropriate educational support. Key Responsibilities • Co-ordinate statutory assessments and manage the Education, Health, and Care (EHC) planning process, • Support schools and settings in applying the graduated approach to meeting SEND needs, • Monitor and review pupil progress against outcomes, • Provide advice and support to SENCos and headteachers, • Work collaboratively with SENISS, Educational Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Social Care, Health, and other agencies, • Attend annual reviews for vulnerable pupils, including Looked After Children and those at risk of exclusion Requirements • Recent experience in education or Children’s Services, ideally as a SEND Casework Officer, • Knowledge of the Children and Families Act 2014 and SENDIST regulations, • Experience facilitating review meetings and working with parents and carers, • Strong interpersonal, communication, and IT skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
