Why do we need you? We're looking for a Brand & Content Marketing Manager to join our team on a 9 month maternity cover, with a strong possibility of becoming permanent as the business grows. Reporting to the Managing Director, this is a hands-on role bringing our established brand strategy to life through clear, compliant campaigns and content that connect with people who need help. You'll oversee content production, manage our customer testimonial and survey programmes, and lead campaign planning and delivery. You'll line manage our Graphic Designer and Social & Content Executive, working as part of our marketing team of six. You'll partner closely with performance marketing colleagues and collaborate across the business with operations, compliance, and active customer communications teams. Paid acquisition has driven our growth. Now we're strengthening organic brand channels to build a more sustainable model. Content & Campaign Delivery (70%) • Plan and deliver integrated campaigns across digital, social, email and selected offline channels, aligning creative execution with commercial objectives, • Lead the planning and coordination of regional brand activation test campaigns across out-of-home, digital and community engagement channels. Starting in small, targeted regions, you will define clear test-and-learn objectives, budgets and success measures, manage media planning and, where appropriate, direct media booking, and ensure creative, compliance and operational readiness are aligned. Successful activity may be scaled more widely, • Manage the customer testimonial programme and quarterly customer surveys, turning insight into clear content themes and positioning that reflect real customer outcomes, • Oversee day-to-day content production across owned channels, working closely with the Social & Content Executive to ensure all output is clear, compliant and on-brand, • Work with the performance team to ensure content supports SEO, PPC and broader lead generation objectives, • Draft, review and approve copy from agencies and internal teams, maintaining tone of voice, regulatory standards and quality control, • Brief and manage external agencies on content production, including UGC, influencer partnerships and campaign assets, • Brief, support and develop the Social & Content Executive and Graphic Designer, providing clear direction and constructive feedback Brand Guardianship & Strategy Support (30%) • Act as the champion of our brand values and customer-first thinking across the business, • Lead regular tone of voice training to maintain consistency, • Ensure all marketing communications reflect our clear and consistent value proposition, • Collaborate with the active customer comms team to align messaging across the customer lifecycle, • Track and report on campaign performance, balancing creative execution with analytical insight, • Identify opportunities to improve how we tell our story and support our customers Compliance and Limits to Authority • Ensure all content meets FCA financial promotions rules and Consumer Duty standards, • Follow internal sign-off processes and work closely with compliance to keep content clear, fair, and not misleading, • No authority to publish regulated content without compliance approval What skills and experience do we need you to have? Excepted Behaviours We're Always Ready • You manage competing priorities across campaigns, compliance approvals, and team deliverables without losing momentum, • You anticipate bottlenecks and address them before they impact delivery timelines, • You stay informed on regulatory changes, market trends, and customer needs to keep our content relevant and compliant We Raise the Bar • You set high standards for content quality and brand consistency, pushing back on work that doesn't meet the mark, • You use performance data and customer insight to continuously refine campaigns and improve outcomes, • You take ownership of mistakes and learn from them, improving processes for the team We Work as One • You lead collaboration across marketing, compliance, operations, and customer comms to deliver joined-up campaigns, • You brief, support, and develop direct reports while respecting their expertise and autonomy, • You share knowledge openly and help others understand how their work connects to wider business goals We Treat People Right • You produce and approve content that speaks to people with empathy, never judgment or pressure, • You manage team members with fairness, providing clear direction and constructive feedback, • You understand that our customers are often at their most vulnerable and ensure every piece of communication reflects that awareness Experience / Knowledge Essential • At least 5 years' experience in a marketing role, ideally at manager level, • Proven track record in delivering brand and content campaigns from planning through to execution, • Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle priorities and hit deadlines and ability to bring a team together to deliver omni-channel, multiple asset campaigns, • Confident copywriter and editor who can maintain tone of voice across different formats and channels, • Experience managing or coordinating people, whether direct reports or cross-functional teams, • Comfortable balancing creative thinking with data and performance analysis, • Experience in media management and booking, • Hands-on approach. You're not afraid to write the brief, check the copy, deliver the content and chase the approvals yourself, • Understanding of how content supports broader marketing objectives like lead generation and brand awareness, • Comfortable working across digital channels and platforms as part of an integrated marketing approach Desirable • Experience in a digital-first or digitally led business environment, • Experience working in financial services or another regulated environment, • Familiarity with compliance processes for marketing in regulated sectors, • Knowledge of SEO, PPC, or how content supports paid performance channels, • Experience with customer research, surveys, or testimonial programmes, • Understanding of how digital channels connect across the customer journey Mindset • You care about doing work that helps people, • You're practical, not precious.
