Chemist/ Technician – East Anglia – Environmental Services - 1 Year Contract \n \n About the Company: \n We are looking for an experienced chemist to join the field team at a leading environmental services company. You will travel to various industrial sites supporting on testing and maintenance. Working in a customer facing team, you will provide services to a range of clients primarily in the South Wales area and also when needed across the UK. \n \n Responsibilities: \n\n • Conduct routine sampling, testing, and monitoring.\n, • Execute chemistry tests, analyse results, and prepare clear technical reports and recommendations.\n, • Inspect, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot chemical dosing and process monitoring equipment.\n, • Support new customer implementations and application start-ups alongside the sales team.\n, • Manage chemical inventories and coordinate material requirements at customer sites.\n, • Investigate system performance issues, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.\n, • Build strong relationships with customer stakeholders and act as a trusted technical advisor.\n, • Provide technical support and escalate complex issues where required.\n, • Prepare technical documentation, reports, charts, and performance summaries.\n, • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.\n\n \n Requirements: \n\n • Degree or equivalent qualification in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.\n, • Experience in water treatment, process chemistry, utilities, or a similar industrial environment.\n, • Client facing experience.\n, • A knowledge of cooling towers, steam plants, closed systems, chemical feed systems, pre-treatment equipment, and process monitoring would be beneficial.\n, • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.\n, • Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective customer relationships.\n, • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.\n, • Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently in a field-based role.\n, • Full UK driving licence required.\n\n
